Service was good, and our food was too

Read other reviews that didn't like the food. Perhaps the wife and I just choose the right stuff. Fish and chips were good only complaint is they have no malt vinegar. A serious oversight for fish and chips.

We bought the hamburger steak and 3 sides. Meat was dry and no flavor at all!! Told the waitress they needed to maybe add gravy on top. She said cooks won't listen to suggestions. Well they should listen to someone. Could be a great location for a great place to eat. Keep servers fire the cooks.

Ordered hand burger steak, they brought plain very dry hand burger. I attempted to eat it with steak sauce, but I could not make it taste better. The cornbread was very old tasting.the service was fast and friendly but did not make up for the awful food. I just hope I don't get food poisoning.

I do not post reviews often but people need to be warned. I asked twice about the mashed potatoes. ...as to their origin. ... I DARE you to try them.

There were only 2 servers and they were extremely busy with busing tables, ringing people up, serving food and drinks and bringing out the food. The food is great!

We unknowingly walked in 10 minutes before closing on Sunday but were pleasantly greeted, seated and served. The service was good, the burgers were fantastic and it was very affordable. Definitely recommend the Iron Kettle. Great small town diner.

If you like country, then you'll like the Iron Kettle. We had breakfast there twice. Each time the coffee was hot, good service and great food. The prices are right and easy to get in and out.

We were sat quickly and were served our drinks promptly. We waited 25-30 minutes for someone to take our order. Food arrived almost an hour after being seated. And it was cold! My grilled chicken breast was inedible (I overheard the table behind us returning hers for the same reason). Needless to say we won't be returning to this restaurant.

Nothing special. Which was disappointing for a small town eatery. Wouldn't eat there again. Although the service was good.
