My wife and I were there for lunch today and experienced the best lunch we could have imagined. I got BBQ ribs and Red Beans and Rice. My wife got the BBQ plate. They were the most delicious and tasty meals that we had had in a long time. The service was excellent, the meal was perfectly hot, with plenty... More

By far the service was great, the food was amazingly well prepared and if you're one to love good down south cooking then you will definitely love this place. The bbq sauce went perfect with my BBQ Platter. I also had the Smoked Sausage sandwich which was simply wow. The sausage was amazing and the rest that complimented it was... More

This is a hidden gem on the square in Lynchburg, Tennessee. My favorite is the stuffed baked potato - pulled pork on a baked potato with their own amazing sauces. Great iced tea too.

Maybe I set my sights too high or maybe we were there on an off-day but it was quite disappointing. I ordered a backed potato stuffed with shredded pork and cheese. The cheese was shredded which would have been ok if the potato and pork had been hot enough to melt it but sadly, they weren't. The pork itself was... More

THE FOOD MADE ME AND MY SON SICK. We both got a type of food poison and spent the whole day in the bathroom and in bed. If you were here on 11/25/14 and also got sick, please reach out to me. Overall the food is terrible, everything the sell, you can tell was not fresh or prepared there. All... More

Some of the best bbq pulled pork I've had, friendly staff, great local talent singing the blues, country and folk music. The atmosphere is friendly and all sit together. We were there the weekend of the International Barbecue competition.

After touring the Jack Daniels Distillery, we walked around downtown. Very cute downtown area. We decided to eat at The BBQ Caboose Cafe. We were the only customers but it was aroundonly 4 in the afternoon! It is decorated kind of rustic with lot of train items. Very friendly owner and good service. The food was good and filling. I've... More

The ribs were burnt, the potato salad bordered on rancid, and the red beans and rice were served stone cold. The only redeeming feature was the server, who was friendly and sweet. I wouldn't send my worst enemy here. It's that bad.

After visiting Jack Daniels Distillery, my friend and I stopped to eat at this cafe. We each had the bar-b-que plate. It came with lots of bar-b-que, a bun and 2 sides. We got the red beans and rice along with slaw. It was some if the best bar-b-que I have ever had. The sides were equally delicious. All for... More

I have been to the Caboose in Lynchburg on a few occasions and can honestly say I have enjoyed every visit. First of all the food is not only great but the price's are too. I have been there both late and early in the day and enjoyed the great service and on Saturdays the live music and radio show.... More
