THE FOOD MADE ME AND MY SON SICK. We both got a type of food poison and spent the whole day in the bathroom and in bed. If you were here on 11/25/14 and also got sick, please reach out to me. Overall the food is terrible, everything the sell, you can tell was not fresh or prepared there. All... More

Some of the best bbq pulled pork I've had, friendly staff, great local talent singing the blues, country and folk music. The atmosphere is friendly and all sit together. We were there the weekend of the International Barbecue competition.

After touring the Jack Daniels Distillery, we walked around downtown. Very cute downtown area. We decided to eat at The BBQ Caboose Cafe. We were the only customers but it was aroundonly 4 in the afternoon! It is decorated kind of rustic with lot of train items. Very friendly owner and good service. The food was good and filling. I've... More

The ribs were burnt, the potato salad bordered on rancid, and the red beans and rice were served stone cold. The only redeeming feature was the server, who was friendly and sweet. I wouldn't send my worst enemy here. It's that bad.

After visiting Jack Daniels Distillery, my friend and I stopped to eat at this cafe. We each had the bar-b-que plate. It came with lots of bar-b-que, a bun and 2 sides. We got the red beans and rice along with slaw. It was some if the best bar-b-que I have ever had. The sides were equally delicious. All for... More

I have been to the Caboose in Lynchburg on a few occasions and can honestly say I have enjoyed every visit. First of all the food is not only great but the price's are too. I have been there both late and early in the day and enjoyed the great service and on Saturdays the live music and radio show.... More

I hate eating out of plastic, with plastic. Food was tasty but no better than I can get out of a can at home. Not sure what all the fuss is about!! We ate lunchtime, mid Oct. Few people around.

The ad says it's the best you ever ate. It wasn't but it was okay. The red beans and rice were good. The place has character.

Was referred to this restaurant by the guide at the Jack Daniels Distillery and it was great. Waitresses, cashier and owner were friendly and efficient. Food was delicious, had a smoked chicken salad and a bbque plate and dessert. Oh my ....the chocolate fudge pie was to die for. Just a great place to eat.
