Personal trip

Saw the restaurant while visiting historic Lynchburg and thought I would try it. The staff were very helpful, the pulled pork sandwich was tasty and the portion sizes were perfect.

We stopped to eat and no room in restaurant or porch but scored a table out on deck. Servers took drink order and served drinks then we waited and waited and waited... Yes, the whole place emptied out and we waited. Food just average, I wouldn't bother to wait again. I had ribs with two sides, not worth mentioning.

Amazing BBQ sandwich in a fun train stop themed atmosphere. The staff was also friendly and very attentive!

This was a return trip from a few years back. I was looking forward to it because of the red beans and rice. Originally, they used to make it with some of the pulled pork in the beans which was just exceptional. However it appears that they have changed that and are now using polish sausage in the beans. Just... More

Stopped here for a hotdog and BBQ ribs meal - really nice, welcoming waitress and lovely food. Good to stop by when you leave the JD distillery!

Lunch here was great....menus was simple, but the free entertainment was worth it.....prices were very reasonable. Service was a bit slow, but who cares when your being entertained.

Quaint atmosphere, and smells like it is, a smoke house. The meat was excellent, and the sides were good as well. The nacho's with pulled pork, and ribs (dry roast) were good as was the beef brisket. Moist and near perfect. Worth a stop.
