Stopped by for a drink and bite to eat and gotta say it was lovely however very pricey might be because it's a organic place ... I will return as coffee was lush :-)

quirky, rustic setting. cosy in winter, with wooden tables. Amazing winter vegetable soup, huge bowl served with a big chunk of granary bread / butter, all for £3.85. Filled me up all day. Had forgotten how much I love this place. I tended to come in summer, when its lovely to sit outside. Worth a winter trip too.

pillars is just one of the most amazing places on the planet! i love it heart & soul. it doesn't matter who i go with - friends, kids, family, dog, alone, it's impossible not to feel uplifted after a visit there. especially if i get myself a slice of chocolate brownie and some fentiman's curiosity cola :o) so, if you've... 'Tres rustique' as the French would say. In a woodland clearing, surrounded by the land on which much of the produce is grown. We ate outside in early October (rugs were offered) and had a great meal. Well-stocked farm stock with unusually fresh vegetables (unlike most supermarkets which advertise their produce as 'fresh'). Very varied menu, generous portions, super desserts.

A cosy warm restaurant on a autumn evening. A beautiful pumpkin quiche with pastry to die for.light and flaky. Aberdeen Angus burger with either Stilton or dunlop smoked cheese served on a focaccia but with spicy wedged chutney and mayo and salad grown on the farm. Very good indeed with huge portions all organic including the wine , a Pinot... More

A family walk to the waterfalls at Mapsie Den and were recommended here for food and it did not disappoint. Such a quirky building and organic farm. The food was gorgeous and added bonus of being able to buy organic produce whilst there.

We were planning to go out for tea to my favorite tapas restaurant the other week and it turned out that the boy forgot to book and it was full. Cue huff. He came up trumps after googling 'veggie restaurants' in fife and finding pillars. Neither of could believe we'd never heard of it. Huff over, we headed out to... More

Lovely veggie restuarant which uses farm grown organic ingredients - from on site! Scrumptious and great surroundings. Can cycle up from Falkland or vice versa. Evening bistro available for booking over weekends.

We were slightly wary of booking at Pillars' Bistro, as it's open for dinner only a couple of nights a week and normally operates as a café. How we were surprised! Pilars is in a lovely peaceful, rural, location with plenty of parking space. The Bistro was set up with candles and fresh flowers on each table and had a... More

We just popped in for a coffee and cake but they have great meals (mostly organic veggie type stuff but very tasty). The coffee (large latte) was creamy and smooth, my wife had an excellent hot chocolate and we had the most fab beetroot and chocolate cake - mmmm. There are lovely walks and cycles around falkland so a nice... More
