I've eaten here twice recently and have been impressed on several fronts. Service friendly and swift. Very cosy atmosphere. Most importantly the food was simple but delicious. The owners have judged local tastes perfectly and the menu provides all the old favourites along with some nice specials. My children were delighted with their meals and we all enjoyed the feel... Visiting from England we went out for a meal with family. Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Food was also not a disappointment and generous portions. I had sausages and champ for my main course and as much as I love champ I only had room for a mouthful as the sausages were big and filled me up, no room... More

This is a Lovely place and has great food. The chip are defiantly home made and the food is fresh. The decor is also very nice as the fire was burning when we where there. Was a bit of a wait but I didn't mind as the food was worth the wait. Would recommend you stop and try for yourself.... More

Visited with family in early January. Small mix up when arrived as we thought we had booked a table in the restaurant but were shown to a table in the bar area. When querying this the server then arranged for a table in the restaurant area - this was more cosy and stylish. Menu is the same. Food was good.... More

Too many good restaurants in this area doing a great job. Lisbarnett needs to do pub grub at reasonable prices. Leave Balloo for the finer end of the market. Come on lisbarnett back to basics.

Had a meal early December. It was the dexter burger. Very good, tasty and warm. Service excellent. So impressed I booked a family Boxing Day Christmas lunch. In spite of being very busy the service was again excellent. The meals were served on hot plates and were very tasty, something very rare at this time of year as most lunches... More

Have eaten here around 6 times, every time has been superb! It's a little pricier than some places but I feel the food is better than most places so I'm willing to pay! Steak is always cooked perfectly!
