Comfortable and Delicious

The restaurant is really lovely - nice outlook into the gardens and links to other smaller eating areas and relaxing spaces. The food is very good, well flavoured and varied, the presentation is top rate and the use of different plates and dishes all add to the dining experience. Only one small... read more

Wednesday lunch. Lovely décor and overall presentation, top quality service and well prepared food though the pink mayonnaise did throw me.

My partner booked the restaurant for my birthday - mid week night and not too busy I have never been disappointed when dining in the past but this time I feel I need to put pen to paper . The evening looked promising as we placed out orders although the gentleman in charge of the restaurant looked as if he... More

I gave a good review 2 years ago on the high standard and quality of their special 2 courses and a glass of wine deal. We have been back many times but the quality and taste of our food on our last meal prompted me to write again. I got the seafood quiche with potatoes and a salad and I... More

Was out walking along the coastal path with my wife and came back through Crawfordsburn so we called into the old inn for lunch and were given a so so table for two just on the edge of the walk way, we weren't there for two minutes and the boss came along and moved us into the main body of... great soup! Average main courses and lack of choice, given the price. Need to offer a chef's daily special to make it more interesting. Staff very nice.

Had dinner here Saturday night in the restaurant after having not being here in a while. Restaurant looks fantastic, very upmarket and the service and general ambience was good. Food was so-so, not bad but not brilliant either and for the prices would have maybe expected better. If they could get the food as good as everything else it would... More

The food is better than the service. Not great value but certainly quite edible. I note a small Caesar salad for eleven pounds. Service was average but slow. Food came promptly but had to waaaaait for the bill.

My husband and I enjoyed a 4 four course meal in the restaurant. The starter of scallops and main (seafood and steak)were both very nice but the show winner was the desserts which were unbelievably delicious. Service from staff was informal but attentive which we found suitable for the occasion. We had after dinner coffee and drinks in the bar... More
