Amazing food but doesn't exactly encourage people not to drink when a pint of coke is £3.20 rip off I wasn't asked if I wanted a free drink as a designated driver !!

Its been a while since our last visit, we returned due to the standard of the food and service from our previous visits. We were not disappointed, good food and service with a reasonable price, that's why we go back to The Primrose.

We frequented the Primrose every afternoon/evening during our stay in Ballynahinch. Pamela, Fiona, Claire, Mary & John are hosts extraordinaire and went out of their way to fulfill any request we made. The food was delicious (especially that "last night" chocolate fudge cake...thank you, Pamela!), reasonably priced, served promptly and with lovely presentation. And I have it on good authority... I have been using the Primrose Bar and restaurant frequently for the last 15 years and find it to be the only restaurant in Ballynahinch which is consistent in its high quality of food which separates it from the rest of the restaurants in Ballynahinch . I would recommend the primrose to anybody either visiting Ballynahinch Or locals for a... More

Great selection of bistro style food and quaint atmosphere. Staff very friendly. We usually go for the early bird menu during the week which is great value. A favourite of mine has to be the burgers, homemade and portions are generous.

We were made very welcome and served quickly. Firstly drinks then our meal. I had Chicken Melt with Bacon Mash, delicious. My partner had a very generous serving of Gammon and chips. Great place for a quick meal.
