Been a few times, slightly over priced but the food has always been great. Changing specials and friendly service. Would recommend.

I have been using the Primrose Bar and restaurant frequently for the last 15 years and find it to be the only restaurant in Ballynahinch which is consistent in its high quality of food which separates it from the rest of the restaurants in Ballynahinch . I would recommend the primrose to anybody either visiting Ballynahinch Or locals for a... More

Great selection of bistro style food and quaint atmosphere. Staff very friendly. We usually go for the early bird menu during the week which is great value. A favourite of mine has to be the burgers, homemade and portions are generous.

We were made very welcome and served quickly. Firstly drinks then our meal. I had Chicken Melt with Bacon Mash, delicious. My partner had a very generous serving of Gammon and chips. Great place for a quick meal.

My family and myself went here two weeks ago. It has been quite some time from we had been in the Primrose and my memories were very good. There was a variety of meals ordered from steak to chicken gougons to steak burgers. Most enjoyed their meal, the décor was nice but the seating was not ideal as we were... More

We had our christening for our little girl in the Primrose, the food was gorgeous and in the party of 8 adults and three children there wasn't too much leftover for a doggy bag!!! The staff were friendly and patient and were lovely to the kids. It is a must if eating in Ballynahinch! Definate value for money

We were shown to a table downstairs in the bar where it was very quiet. It was very cold in the bar, so much so neither of us removed our coats the entire night. We both really enjoy eating out and found the menu here very disappointing. We decided not to have a starter as nothing appealed. We each had... More

The Primrose is my local restuarant of choice. This was a return visit to say thank you to my sister for her assistance over the year. The Primrose never fails to satisfy. I have known the owner and the previous owner over the last 30 years as well as many of the staff. They are always open to any variation... More

We rarely go out for a meal when we're home. That is to say we are fortunate to travel quite a lot and so when we choose to be home, we generally eat in. On the rare occasion we do go out for a meal it is always our hope it is memorable, or at the very least worth our... More
