Beautiful food

Have been to the go sun on a couple of occasions now and could not fault any aspect of our meal. Staff were friendly and accommodating, menu and drinks was well priced, cocktails were lovely and the meal was beautiful. We had the 3 course lunch menu and each dish was superb! We have not been in the restaurant for at least eight years. On our last visit we were really disappointed with a number of things. When we were invited out for a meal we were a bit apprehensive when I heard where we were eating. But I have to say I was really surprised. The restaurant was clean the staff... More

Quite a while since we dined here we used to visit 40 years ago but had a bad experience one Thursday evening 4 years ago when they served a buffet. This Friday food was excellent and the host was most pleasant!

I have just experienced my first visit to this restaurant and hopefully it will not be my last. 6 of us spent a truly wonderful night here on New Years Eve and the food, staff, atmosphere and attention to detail were magnificent. No expense was spared from the owner to ensure a good night was had by all. Well done... More

Had take out from here and eaten several times over the years. Never had a problem. While waiting for take away you can see through into the kitchen to see the food being cooked. Good range of both Chinese and European food.

A family run business, ok the decor has changed in the last 20 years but the food hasn't. Still the same food and great feed as before. Really enjoyed my chicken Maryland this evening and the Peking chicken was lovely. No qualms and busy place, so booking is advised!! Great work Stanley, nice to have seen you, been a while.... More

It's a busy spot at the weekend, but there is parking nearby. Inside, there is no traditional Chinese restaurant décor - it's refreshingly plain and restrained. The food is great, if a little expensive. The starter for two is particularly good. So why the "poor" rating then? The APPALLING service. We waited one hour for the starter, and another half... The restaurants food was not fresh and the dishes were more Irish than Chinese as with the restaurants decor. If you have a craving for Chinese in Ballymena maybe it's best to consider other options.

We have a relation from American over recently and brought them to the Go Sun for the Early Bird tea menu. We enjoyed a cocktail before our meal (a really good choice of cocktails and reasonably priced) and then tucked into our food selection. Really good standard of food and priced competitively. Service excellent and the new décor really classy.... More
