New Restaurant called Thyme...exceptional food

We have had lunch here three times and have meals from the menu and the 'specials' blackboard menu. Terrific variety, superb standard of presentation and delicious food. Service was excellent on each occasion and we will definitely return. Well done to Chris and staff.

Went to this restaurant last night with 2 friends. Their meals were fine. I ordered fillet steak (well done) pepper sauce and fries. The pepper sauce was really as thin as dish water. The steak was red all thermal through. I sent the sauce back and got my food on a new plate with proper pepper sauce. Couldn't face the... More

it is not my first visit to this location which by the way has a more appealing name" THYME" and everything is changed in better, starting with the setting and decorations and finishing with perfectly executed food. Today we had the crab linguini and duck confit as starters and for mains we went on the chef's special, beef brisket and... More

On arrival we were a bit unsure of where to go as it turns out there is two entrances, after a couple of minutes a member of staff approached us and showed us to our table. We decided on the Valentine special menu which was generally very good except for a few things. The confit of duck I felt had... More

Have been here a few times but probably not again. On walking in I was ignored by the two staff who were maybe changing shifts and discussing what needed doing but was then shown to a table. It was a busy afternoon during Christmas shopping but the restaurant was just over half full. I waited ages (nearly walked out), before... More

Hadn't been for a while. No one in restaurant at all. Menu was different from last time and really pretty boring. Waitress said this dish wasn't on and that wasn't on. Ordered sea bass which she then said they didn't do anymore so settled for beef, and cheesecake as dessert. Wife ordered chicken, and pavlova as dessert. Waitress went away,... More

Have eaten here on several occasions before and was disappointed last 2 occasions, Altho this time was the worst, got my usual chicken dish, but mash has been reheated badly, chicken breast was fine but sauce was awful, was like a few bits of bacon had been thrown in cream ... One kitchen staff made an appearance in restaurant looking... More

Just happened to find this restaurant as I was searching on my phone. Rang it and got a table booked no bother for a Saturday night at 7.30 - I just thought out luck was in. When we went our waiter who greeted us and served our food all night was lovely. Very helpful and was able to recommend certain... More
