With Scottish friends visiting Ballymena I put the feelers out to find somewhere new and good to have lunch. Combined with a recommendation from a work colleague and good reviews from other friends I thought High Street 51 was the perfect choice for for my Scottish visitors, and it would also give me the opportunity to try it for myself.... Having read all the reviews we decided to go to High Street 51 this evening! Bit surprised to find we were the only people in the place and nobody else came while we were there. The tattered menu was a bit offputting and choice was limited, but we decided to stay and give it a go. I had peppered chicken... More

Although the lone waitress was rushed off her feet she made us feel very welcome. We had the Park burgers which were 6oz of tasty beef with cheese, onions, mushrooms and delicious bacon. Huge helpings of chips and garlic fries. The menu has so many tempting dishes on offer so it is very hard to choose. To avoid this problem... More

At short notice on a late Sunday afternoon we decided to head out to dinner - we didn't want the whole typical Sunday roast so done a quick trip advisor search for county Antrim - High Street 51 came up as looking like a potential spot. When we first arrived at the main entrance to High Street 51 we were... More

Ate here after a bit of a shopping spree with my mum and 2 children. Great menu with food very reasonably priced. Service very good and portion sizes were excellent, unfortunately had no room for desert! Food cooked to perfection and thoroughly enoyed every bite. Even better the fact that our car park fee was paid for at the end.... More

We had a lovely evening in the High street restaurant. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Great menu with a good variety. The 2 course/3course meal is such good value!! Bring your own wine is a huge bonus these days where sometimes the cost of the wine is more than the food !!! A lovely cosy restaurant with great... More

Visited here yesterday for lunch. The portion sizes were generous and reasonably priced for the quality. We were served quickly and the food arrived promptly. I was most pleased with the lasagne and chicken curry both were delicious. I loved the fact that the garlic fries were dressed with garlic butter and not left swimming in butter which is more... I did not even know this restaurant existed until last week when my family treated me for my birthday! I will certainly go back. The food tasted great, it was well cooked and well presented. It was very reasonably priced also. The staff were really helpful and pleasant. I feel that perhaps the location of the restaurant means that it's... More

We ate here on a saturday lunch time, the menu had something to suit everyone, from soup, sandwiches, fry, burgers as well as roast dinners. Staff very friendly, they let us have a look at the evening menu as well just to see what was on it and also told us about 2 people eat for a certain price deal.... More
