Had a terrible meal here recently with a group of people. I didn't complain as it was a work night out meal. Wouldn't be back and definitely won't be recommending to anyone.

We hadn't returned to the Blackstone for a couple of years, but were happy to see new management and menu, as stated on their website. Although locate above a pub, our meal was not your average pub fare, nor was it like every other restaurant where you would see the same menu of Chicken, Beef and Ham with a mixed... More

I have visited this restaurant three times and each one has been amazing. The quality and innovative menu make this a great experience. Whilst the ambience is only average the food and value for money make it 5 stars for me.

But this place has some really different options, nice portion sizes and nice presentation. Service is good but the decor is a bit dated, quite nice but bit past it I'd say! Was probably very... We stopped here for a coffee break after some walking in this spectacularly beautiful area. The coffee and cakes were delicious and the service was charming! A little oasis with lots of delicious tempting treats!

Went here for dinner recently - the food was excellent but unfortunately we had to wait far too long for the food to be served. The restaurant wasn't even half full so not sure why it should have taken so long. I don't mind waiting a bit longer for good food but this food took exceptionally long and there are... More

Excellent food and service in a traditional setting. The salmon was terrific. Good wine choices at reasonable prices.
