Nice old building the norm for a weatherspoons. Good selection of real ales chatty staff and very good food for the prices. Gets very busy on Saturdays

Have been here 3 times in as many months. I can't complain about the food, it's quick, hot & value for money. Location is great, a beautiful building in the middle of town. What really, badly lets this place down is that for whatever reason, they just don't clear tables. So when you arrive,( as we did today, sunday, 2:30pm,... More

We were in Wimborne shopping ( left without breakfast). As one of our party is restricted in what they can eat, dining out is usually quite hard work. Bearing this in mind we were half expecting issues, we asked for the Duty Manager prior to ordering anything (just in case there was a problem), we were approached by a young... More

Have eaten here several times but last visit was not good. Tables were not being cleared. Only 2 waiters delivering food. Ordered a panini got a toastie. The other meals were okay. Ordered puddings. After 45 minutes no sign. Asked but no one seemed to know anything. Got a refund and left. Were late back to car park. Meal had... More

Great location - big old interesting building BUT as tired in the food and furniture areas as all the Spoons chain and a bit of a greasy spoon in a National Trust location.

My wife's food was inedible and made my her ill. Complained at the time and got a sort of apology. No offer of refund. When I called in to complain to the manager she was also quite dismissive and seemed not bothered. Will never go again! Avoid this place.

My wife and I frequently use J.D.Wetherspoon pub/restaurants, we value their facilities, fairly priced menus and locations, On Wednesday we had been Christmas shopping in Dorchester and knowing that 'spoons' gets busy on marketday, decided to pop into the Wimborne branch instead, leaving Dorchester at 12.oo noon, we arrived in Wimborne about 45 mins later and we were lucky enough... This Wetherspoon's is like so many, with babies crying on both nights, toddlers running around and the, so called, 'parents' simply drinking, with no concern for the fact that their children were destroying the ambience! Time this chain restricted kids, as they are all over the place in Wetherspoon's! What ever happened to the local pub, where you could be... More

Looking at recent reviews, I seem to have gone to a different pub to these people! This is our second visit - first time was a year ago - and we returned because it was such good value last time. I had the best fish and chips I'd had in a long time, and my husband and our friends all... More

Called in last year for a meal, had the steak and pint. It came well done, not rare as ordered.Very disappointed! The pint of Guinness was good though. Decided while visiting again to give it another try, but didn't risk the steak. I had the beef chilli and my wife had the steak/kidney pud. My wife forgot to order a portion of chips... More
