bridged that gap, nicely

On our way to Kent for a short break, we stopped off for lunch in Wimborne Minster just off the A31. What a lovely little town this is, it has quaint traditional shops, a trout river, market square and nooky winding roads. On one of which we found The Cloisters Restaurant, an inviting eatery, I... read more

I visit Cloisters often (my favourite spot in Wimborne!). Over the past few years it really has come on 'leaps and bounds'. I felt compelled to write another review as I visited solo this week and noticed what a difference the subtle changes that have been made, have made. It is bright, welcoming and has a number of excellent window... More

My husband I and are regulars at Cloisters. Their Steak and Kidney pie with lashings of fresh veg and gravy has become part of our staple diet - topped off by a delicous pud from their ever growing range of yummy cakes! Cloisters is one of Wimborne's gems - sometimes its tricky to get a table, but fear not, you... More

I have visited the coffee shop on a few occasions and can not fault it at all. The food is always fresh and to a high standard. The staff are friendly and attentive and can not do enough for you. The only down side is they are so popular sometimes you have trouble getting a table. (I suppose that's a... More

I have nothing but high regard for Cloisters - Having been a regular for many years the food, attentive service and delightful staff always make you want to come back. I travel extensively and get to dine at some fine spots, however, I always crave Cloisters food and there cakes are homemade and utterly delicious - I can highly recommend... More

Visited this little gem last week with my girlfriend and what a find. From the moment we walked through the door we were welcomed warmly by the staff who were very friendly and made us feel comfortable straight away. The menu was superb and when getting our food it was equally as good! Overall a brilliant little traditional bistro in... More

The Cloisters just gets better and better. It looks so inviting with all it's hanging plants and flowers outside and it has a really fresh, bright and colourful interior. A relaxing and extremely friendly cafe. The coffee I had this morning was excellent. I can highly recommend it!

took my brother here whilst he was over from Spain. I d told him about the giant toasted tea cakes and he wanted to see for himself- he wasn't disappointed! He couldn't understand when I told him that we wouldn't want to eat any lunch afterwards, but after seeing them, he did! Delicious as ever, with a generous helping of... More
