The Barley Mow, of all the many local H&W pubs, has the nicest decking terrace on a sunny lunchtime. We had a great omelette of the day (cheese), goats cheese and bacon potato skins and crab cakes. Absolutely delicious - the fluffy omelette was a triumph. We will be back.

We last visited the Barley Mow 2 or 3 years ago , and had an appalling meal!, but this evening's experience was so much better!! The place has been done up so nicely - both the exterior and the interior are smart but homely. We ordered crab cakes for starters and cod and chips for mains. Both we're delivered promptly,... More

Discovered by accident whilst out for a walk when camping in the area. Gorgeous looking place - quintessential England. It seems to have been recently revamped - the style is definitely stylish but rural -it has a great atmosphere without the shabbiness of some country pubs. The patio area is wonderful, with plenty of flowers. Staff are friendly and helpful.... More

Stopped for a quick lunch with a friend. Food selection is pretty good and reasonably priced, the beer is fantastic. There is a large deck and patio area outside with nice flowers.

We havent been to The Barley Mow since its referbishment. Looks lovely and clean but still has its contry character. Lovely menu with great variety all food arrived boiling hot which makes a change as most places food arrives warm. Very reasonably priced we just wish we had saved enough room for puddings as they sounded lovely. We will returning... More

Have eaten here at least three times this year. Always enjoy their Sunday Roasts. Well kept beer and comfortable surroundings

Just popped in the Barley Mow for a quick snack. We found the staff there couldn't do enough for us even gave us a finger bowl to wash our fingers as we had bbq wings. Very nice touch. Was told about the walk near by which we will be doing. Haven't been here for along time but will definitely be... More

A friend and I fancied a mid-week evening meal but arrived at the pub 5 or 10 minutes after food service had closed (8pm). The landlord(?) assured us it wasn't a problem and we had a really good and affordable meal. The menu is varied and most main dishes are around £10 or £11 with really generous portion sizes. (The... Nicely refurbished but so disappointed by a limited & more expensive menu. Having been before for family celebrations, to what had been a popular country pub with a wide & reasonably priced menu, We arrived to find new management & few customers, with the food good but no longer special, we will be looking for alternatives.

The Barley Mow has been refurbished since I had last been there and been done very nicely. Went on a weekday lunchtime which was very quiet, therefore atmosphere would be better when busy I'm sure. The man serving, who I assume was the landlord was polite but not particularly friendly and didn't respond when we tried to make conversation with... More
