After having visited the drovers in past years and having wonderful food and a lovely atmosphere we were out this evening locally and thought we'd pop in for a bite to eat. Ordered our drinks, polite staff and sat outside!! Flies flies and more flies! Old dog poo left on the grass and a slightly delapatated feel about the outside... More

Service was really poor, bar left unattended for long periods while customers waiting. Attitude of bar staff poor. Need customer service training. Orange juice and lemonade, charged £3.40 for half a pint?!!! Not impressed. Won't be going back.

We were viewing a property just up the road from the Drovers Inn & thought it would be nice to sample the local pub food. We arrived at 1.30 pm, had to queue for at least 10 minutes as there was only one girl serving behind the bar (Bank Holiday weekend)! Alright for the locals they just go behind the... More

A truly local country pub that welcomes visitors and helps them to feel part of the community. The landlord does most of the cooking which can be described as well prepared and presented village pub food at very reasonable prices compared to some of the very expensive and not so good food in other establishments. Some good music nights here... More

Friday 30th May 2014, On our way from Cheltenham to Poole feeling very hungry as my partner and I hadn't eaten since breakfast and it was now 6.30pm. By the Holton Inn there is a brown information sign giving information regarding an award winning Drovers Inn. { Do the people who erect these signs ever check if the Inns are... More

Went for lunch with a group including young children and welcome from landlady was sincere. Landlord then came out to garden where we were sitting for a chat. Food was lovely and ale very good. Definitely will be back.

Having not visited this pub for a few years we had arranged to meet a friend for lunch - quick check of the recent reviews was a bit of a worry but decided to go anyway. It was a very wet day but we were greeted warmly and there was a lovely fire in the hearth. We ordered the "pie... More

Parked at the pub and did a 3 mile walk from the Dorset pub walk book. Arrived back at the pub planning lunch and drinks. Queued at bar for quite a while to order drinks, also had time to view menu and plan lunch for 5 of us. Bar order taken and then promptly told no food was being served... More
