During a visit to Wareham we decided to take a walk up the path by the river which leads down to Stoborough. Just before entering the causeway to go back to Wareham is the Kings Arms pub and as we were thirsty from our walk we decided to have a drink in the garden. The pub is really old, part... More

Dreadful service. It seems that the waitress didn't like us as she left us sitting waiting for our table for nearly twenty minutes after it was ready then blamed her colleague for not telling us. One of the meals came with only two roast potatoes so we had to ask for more. When we had finished and the table was... More

visited with two children who loved the playhouse, but alas, the food was very disappointing. The fish was so so, with half of it tasting freshly caught and the other half as though it had been taken out of the freezer, having been in it for a while...a bit dry and smelly. Also an average tasteless pie. scampi was good,... More

This was my 1st visit to The King's Arms, and when you come across a beautiful looking pub and nice décor inside ~ it's then a 'Huge' disappointment, when the lunch doesn't match up to everything else. I only wanted a simple lunch and ordered an egg n cress baguette. The baguette was stale, and I asked the waitress if... More

Expected more given the atmosphere. The waitresses worked hard but the food was very ordinary. My salmon was very modest in size and the accompanying salad was rather tired. And we never did get the wine list. Bit too "fast food" maybe. There are better places around. At least parking was easy.

Staying in the area for a week, and really enjoyed visiting the pub, staff, ambience and menu were great. We are in the area again later in the year, and will be vising again. Just one hiccup, there was wake on our last visit, and after getting the main meal, we seemed o be forgotten, although we did get served... More

There was a very good choice on the menu, not just traditional pub food. We had the trio of local sausage and chicken in madeira sauce. All came with really good fresh vegetables and a choice of potatoes. We were far too full for any dessert as the portions were very generous. The price was good and proved good value... More

Stopped for lunch here because we couldn't get parked in Wareham, and we were very glad we did. We were immediately made to feel very welcome, the service was excellent and the food was very good - tasty, straightforward home cooking, just what we had been looking for; an added bonus was the offering of smaller portions for those with... Friendly local pub, with a good selection of beers. Seemed to be popular with both locals and visitors.
