We visited as a group of walkers having telephoned in advance to say that we were coming and request consent to park a couple of cars in the car park whilst on our walk. We arrived to be warmly welcomed, offered a drink and directed to our already prepared table in the restaurant area with its bare wood tables, comfortable... More

On bringing this to there attention there was apology , our new bill was just placed on the bar for us to collect again! After paying we noticed that some of the drinks were over charged but... More

We visited the White Horse on a recommendation from our B&B, as the management here have changed in the last year. We were glad we did. The food was very well cooked and the service superbly friendly and personal. Even on a Tuesday (closed Monday) the restaurant was full and the bar full of locals - that says it all.... More

Came across this little country pup and called in for lunch. It was excellent so decided to return for an evening meal having seen the menu, glad we did. The meal was the best we have had in the area during our holiday. My wife had the Steak and I the Steak & Ale pie (home made by the owner... More

Me and three friends had the Sunday roasts today and the food was outstanding. The meat was tender and cooked to perfection. It was accompanied by a range of very unusual but delicious vegetables - new carrots, squashes of different colours, different coloured beet root etc.. The dessert was also delicious. Chocolate tart with pistachio Ice cream. The service was... More

My fiancé and I stumbled upon this pub whilst taking her parents out for the day. The young ladies and gent serving our table were very kind and helpful even though it looked to be a busy service. The food was excellent!! We were told by other customers that the menu changes almost ever week. Definitely worth travelling back for... More

Brought the kids to the pub for dinner, they had a good variety on the menus, and was very good value for money. The portions were big for the food and the service was very quick and helpful. Thank you for a great meal and I shall be there again soon.

Lovely friendly pub- welcomes dogs and kids. We visited for the first time in ages for a quick meal. The menu was great with many things I wanted to try. I had tandoori chicken on flat bread, which was very tasty. My daughter had an amazing venison burger. Food tasted freshly prepared, portion sizes were perfect and service was efficient,... More
