A very good pub meal and reasonably priced too. Very pleasant and helpful landlady and waiting staff. This was an evening meal for four and we were all impressed with the standard. Generous portions to the extent that none of us managed to eat three courses though starters mains and puddings were sampled. And the beer was excellent too.

We have tried many times to get a table here but always found it fully booked. At last we got a table this Sunday and could see why you have to book well in advance. The meal was delicious. I had roast beef, one son had pork, one Lamb and the other a fish gratin. Each dish had it's own... More

Somebody before me has written; "Sunday lunch is sublime" & of course, he is correct on every level about this pub & that meal. We have been back four times now for that real Sunday treat. Three of those visits we were squashed into the bar as the restaurant was full & we loved it so much that we actually... More

A very quiet Thursday lunchtime with a few locals drinking and a helpful and efficient young woman at the bar. A limited but interesting choice and both our meals were delicious. There's a separate restaurant but we ate in the traditional bar as so quiet. Well worth a visit.

we had a lovely time visiting the White Horse in on a quiet Friday evening. The food was great and the staff was lovely. I liked the quirky interior and also that the bar is separate from the dining area. My only gripe is that, like sadly many other places we recently visited, the condiments were served in little sachets.... More

Following on to my previous entry where I said we didn't actually end up eating here I am pleased to say I did make a pont of going back - on my own - and had a wonderful spaghetti bolognaise - I ate in the small but nice garden area....This is a real country pub and deserves the reviews on... The staff are friendly and the food is delicious. The menu changes regularly but you can rely on there being many choices that will appeal. I eat at this restaurant a couple of times a month.

On Sunday we had a fantastic time at the White Horse for a Christening. The chef cooked a fantastic homemade curry for our group of 20 people with pompadoms, homemade dips, nan bread and a large selections of sides. The service was excellent and all the staff were incredibly friendly and we had a wonderful time. Can highly recommend

Went out for dinner with my father and really enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere. Lovely service, scrummy food and a lovely choice of drinks. They have a pie and a catch of the day meaning the menu always changes, would recommend for anyone who wants a lovely relaxed meal.
