Cafe Spice is the only restaurant in our town and thankfully is a good one. An advantage for us is that it is walkable. The staff are very friendly and the food is tasty. The only criticism i would have is, that they are sometimes heavy-handed with onion. Otherwise it is a very good dining experience.

But this little place wasn't up to my taste, it's ok if you are running late and it's the last resort but I would rather travel further a field to have quality at the same price

We had a selection of meat based dishes here but I was concerned to see how many came out a bright red colour ! My shikh kebab (bright red) tasted a bit stale and I think on balance I would go veggie if we eat curry in Sturminster Newton again.

Always greeted with a smile, freindly happy staff who love what they do and they do what they do really well. fabulous food both eat in and take away, I believe they have won many awards for their food and you can tell. Not the cheapest but then youdon't mind when you are getting good quality. Lovely atmosphere when you... More

After arriving at 8pm, we finally got our menus at 8.30, and weren't served our food until 10.15pm and even then 2 of the main meals were wrong and the sag aloo didn't have any spinach, as apparently they'd run out!! During all this time, not one of the 5 different waiters apologised or even seem to think anything was... More

Had reserved a table, waited about 5 minutes to be acknowledged. Waited about 30 minutes for a menu, 20 minutes to have an order taken then 2 1/4 hours after we arrived so did our food, with no sag in our sag aloo and 1 dish missing. After trying to explain this was not good service we got shouted at.... More

I would highly recommend eating here. The food is full of flavour with many unusual dishes that I have not seen elsewhere. The staff are friendly and attentive.

We booked a curry here a week or so in advance as we were visiting the Cheese Festival and thought this may make for a busy Saturday evening. Indeed it was, and there was a steady stream of diners as well as take away customers in the restaurant whilst we were there. The selection on the menu was excellent, and... More
