from the moment you step over the door you are made to feel extremely welcome. The ambience, staff and food are excellent. We were shown straight to a table and were made welcome by a member of staff. The service was fast and efficient, nothing was too much trouble. When the food arrived it was piping hot and cooked to... More

This Inn is in a brilliant location. Fantastic views in the car park which is on up a bit from the Inn. £5 car park charge for three hours which is refunded when you eat in the Inn. Food was lovely - I had Moroccan chicken which had fantastic flavours. Staff were very friendly and couldn't do more to help.... More

We booked a table for 5 adults an infant and 2 dogs and had been thoughtfully given a table with plenty of space where we wouldn't disturb anyone. This is a busy atmostpheric non fussy pub with plenty of seating inside and out that is dog and children friendly. Two roasts were on offer beef and pork at our table... More

My family and I enjoyed an evening meal this weekend at The Smugglers. We were on a weekend break in Warmwell (5-10 min drive away) and visited the pub in the afternoon after going to Weymouth. The pub is hidden away down a dead end road and is a real gem of a place. When we turned up in the... More

Located right by my b&b this pub has a charming traditional interior but does not rest on its laurels. The young waiter was exemplary, service was fast and courteous and the award winning steak pie was memorable and entirely lived upto its billing. Absolutely delicious. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this pub. The view towards Weymouth and Portland from the... More

Four hungry adults and a 27 month old grandson were very well catered for! (no pun intended). We arrived in early evening and we're immediately impressed with the setting which, with the characterful, old building gave us a warm welcome as did the staff. An interesting and fairly extensive menu gave us a good choice. This is a Hall &... More

Following a day walking on Portland I really fancied going to an old pub for pie and chips. This fitted the bill perfectly. I had the tanglefoot steak and ale pie and it was delicious, their was also a great atmosphere in the pub and they quite happily allowed our dog in too, they even gave her a bonio treat.... More

First visit had their signature dish a first class pie served with chips and accompanied with a good Malbec. Scroll forward a couple of days and an appalling meal the pies -both of them were virtually inedible and so overlooked that the meat had dried up. Should never have been served but the "kitchen is very busy" or so I... More

We have visited this pub a few times over many years whenever we have been in the area, it just never disappoints with the standard of food, service and of course the beautiful location. The only very slight criticism I could make is that the menu is a little restricted I feel, it's standard pub grub, very reasonably priced but... More
