The building works to reinforce the stream have been completed, the gardens look a little sparse, but I'm sure they'll have these back to normal soon. Sat inside 2 nights as the weather wasnt quite up to sitting out. Nice friendly pub with great food, and lively atmosphere. Occasional yelps from... read more

We did a six and a half mile walk from Lulworth to this pub as recommended by our hostess. About 150 army reservists got there before we did to have a well deserved drink. The pub seemed to have extra staff on hand and handled the crowd professionally. We were able to get drinks and order lunch right away despite... More

Found this place while on holiday in the area. The setting is very out the way and on the drive to it you sometimes think you've past it, but it is at the very end by a cliff!!! The service was excellent and friendly. The food is very good and also is reasonably priced. Don't worry the portion sizes are... More

A last minute stop for a quick lunch. An excellent meal in a lovely pub. The cod wrapped in pancetta was really tasty and great value, standard bread board but the bonus of the olive oil and balsamic vinegar in separate bowls, lovely small cod and chips and tasty chilli & garlic prawns, the pawns were deveined and fab. Service... More

Super pub/restaurant, I have visited four seprate occassions now and each time I have been impressed by the meal. Last time I had salmon/prawn pie and it was delicious, Ive also tried the veggie burger which hands down beat any beef burger Ive ever tried - a wonderful mix of sweet potato, chillies and cheese. And, for me, one of... More

My very good friend visited from up north and we have raved about this place to him for years, the setting is amazing (despite the work in progress) the food was fabulous but the service let it down. We had to ask for our drinks and had after starters had to find our own cutlery. This hasnt put us off... More

Been coming here off and on for years and always a nice place to stop. Beers are good and it's a nice spot on sunny day. Unfortunately not so great today food wise. My ploughman's was ok, bit light on the cheese and for some reason served in a bowl...not easy to eat! So bit too much style over substance... More
