Only a quick cheesey chips visit but very nice

WE only popped in for a quick drink and a portion of chips and it was fine. There was building work going on at the front of the pub to help with the river the runs outside and stop erosion but it hadn't stopped the pub being full when we arrived. Staff were lovely and attentive despite being... read more

What a shame that what appears to be a lovely quaint traditional pub was totally ruined by the rude barmaid!! Building work aside, I think there's as much money needed on staff training - we were ignored initially at the bar and then when the barmaid (who was chatting at the other end of the bar) came over she was... We visited toady at 5pm what we thought and hoped to be a pleasant meal sat out in the sunshine, we arrived and the car park and front of the pub is like a building site fencing and areas shut off everywhere including the ramp walkway which we were in need of as had the pushchair! there are no signs... Following a recommendation from my brother we stopped off at the Smugglers Inn after a day out in Weymouth and we weren't disappointed! As it was fairly early evening there was plenty of space when we arrived but by the time we were leaving tables were filling up. We had a lovely meal consisting of home made pie, mash and... More

Every year when we visit Weymouth we visit the Smugglers Inn for dinner or lunch, so disappointed this year :-( . We arrived at 7pm, there were tables free but we were asked to wait in the bar for 20 mins so they could clear a table? Our main order was MIXED cheese ploughmans and fish pie. The cheese ploughmans... More

Food was served quickly, tasted good.Staff friendly. Average price a lack of seafood on the menu. Did not like that there is at present a building site to walk through due to flood prevention works.

Such a lovely pub with great staff. The pub has an amazing menu and the food was fantastic. The pub also has great views of the bay.

Having been here a couple of times before, one the only places the kids will eat anything on the menu. Booked in Feb as we were on holiday for the week. Called on the way as we thought it was common courtesy as we were running late, no problem said the smuggler's. On arrival we were shown straight to our... More

We have been to The Smuggler's a number of times in the past, and this occasion was as good as previous visits. We had not booked but they were able to make a time-limited table available to us - which suited us fine and we appreciated their efforts. The specials board had a good selection of different choices from the... More
