We had a fabulous meal here on Friday evening. The restaurant is kind of shabby chic with sparkly lights, individual candlesticks and pretty retro water jugs. When we booked we asked about vegetarian options, and Chris had the choice of two starters and two mains, choosing stuffed courgette flowers followed by a butternut squash pie. I had delicious potato and... More

Took my mum for a belated mothers day lunch and decided on the bluefish restaurant after reading and hearing many positive reviews. We ordered off the lunch menu, I had chorizo, pork belly and apples and a tomato, basil and parmesan risotto both £4.50 ( very reasonable) and cooked beautifully. My Mum had a crab sandwich which again looked lovely... More

What a fantastic day had by all, 9 of us including 4 Mum's! The staff were so accommodating and the menu was outstanding! They had musicians in playing background tunes and it was just like being on holiday! The food is home cooked and locally sourced and a "real gem" on our doorstep! Highly recommended to everyone and have just... More

We were temped out on a midweek evening ( something that we don't normally do ) by a '6 course taster menu' at the Bluefish Restaurant. We weren't disappointed, the menu was imaginative, the food and service were brilliant. Amongst our varied dishes, we had courgette flowers stuff with crab, pigs cheeks, hake, risotto, pork belly, a mixed plate of... More

Had a lovely 3 course light lunch with parents, fairly varied menu, mainly fish (hint in name of cafe) but meat dishes also on menu. Choice of portion sizes were available & small was adequate for parents, normal plenty for us greedier youngsters. Puddings to die for, especially lemon parfait. Prices reasonable. Service friendly, did not feel rushed to finish.... More

A glorious Saturday, so went for a long walk on Portland having booked a table for lunch afterwards at the BlueFish. Luciano’s revamped, competitively priced, Brunch Menu (not yet on the website) offers a variety of lighter dishes in the contemporary manner (£4.50 each or three for £12) and a number of larger plates. We chose a fishcake salad and... More

Had heard great things about The Blue Fish so called Friday morning in the hope of getting a table last minute as been told have to book at the weekend weeks in advance. Got a table at 8pm without problem. Arrived a little early which was not a problem. Restaurant was very quiet. Lovely atmosphere, pretty white fairy lights everywhere.... More

Really excellent food in a charming room. This chef has a creative streak, some interesting combinations and yet it all really worked. Even better the night we were there he came out after each course and asked for feedback, great experience.
