This was an unexpected change of venue as we had planned to go somewhere else, we had a fantastic evening. There were only 3 of us and we all ordered something different from the menu. None of us were disappointed with our meal. We all ordered off the standard Thursday night menu which offered a choice of a steak, a handmade... More

Third year running at the Blue Fish - we always go back when in Portland. Great seafood, lovely wine, wonderful ambiance. Thursday is Moules night - well worth booking in advance for!

Super atmosphere. Quirky. Excellent waitress. Rollicking atmosphere. Pretty good food. Brought an American friend here and it was a super evening. Tenth time we've been here and it has not let us down yet.

We were welcomed with a big smile, The menu was varied but concise. The setting was really cosy and uniquely Portland. And as for the food, absolutely perfect! The service was faultless and made dining so relaxing, we just didn't want to go home. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant and will return soon to this lovely little sanctuary.

Had a fantastic meal at The Blue Fish last night. It was the night they do a 'Taster Menu' for a set price and it was just lovely. Really interesting dishes, finished off with the prettiest sharing plate of delicious puds. Couldn't manage the cheese! Service was good too so thank you Blue Fish.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed a lovely dinner at the Bluefish Restaurant. Despite it's unlikely position in a fairly neglected part of Underhill, the atmosphere and food were outstanding. As a vegetarian, I didn't have any options on the menu. However, all I had to do was inform the staff and the chef made suggestions of what they could prepare... More

Once again, a fantastic experience! Hadn't booked a table but was lucky to have the option of eating inside or outside! Staff were extremely attentive and a jug of iced water was given to us with our menus. Hard to choose but decided for the "special" of basil and brie risotto with truffle oil and hubby chose bavette steak with... More

I've driven past so many times but this time stopped to eat. I wish I hadn't driven by so many times before. The food is excellent and primarily fish with the menu varying each day dependent on what is fresh. Also loved the quirkiness of the location by chesil beach and the design of the restaurant. Such a pity the... More
