We stopped here for a cuppa and enjoyed the views, having walked from Easton we took the coastal path and finished here, taking advantage of the good weather we sat outside and enjoyed at pot of tea. Take the camera some beautiful pics and scenery to be seen

We took a visitor down to Portland Bill (beautiful scenery, dramatic coastline, 3 light houses etc.). It was a cold and windy but bright day, just right for a brisk walk. We were going to go back inland for lunch but went into the Lobster Pot which was busy, but the staff were efficiently rolling out the food and finding... More

We visited in January, weather was cold and everything else seemed to be closed (well it was Sunday). We only wanted a hot drink so popped in to find a table. There were 6 of us but we didn't think it would be quite as packed as it was and we eventually found a table for four and took a... More

We visited The Lobster Pot today after a walk around a cold and windy Portland bill to blow the cobwebs away after partying on New Year's Eve. Surprised to find it so busy but we're lucky to walk straight in and get a table. We both had a very nice sandwich, lovely soft bread. What made it for me was... More

I love their cream tea, in all seasons, but especially at the tail end of summer, I treat myself each birthday, to a stroll around the 'Bill" and wonderful freshly made scone and pot of tea.

We always eat at the Lobster Pot every time time we visit Portland and have never had a bad experience. Boxing day was no exception. We had, fortunately, reserved a table for midday. We arrived a couple of minutes late and were met by a full restaurant with just ours and one other free table. We were shown to the... More
