Overpriced food with a nice view

I live in Dorset so maybe I am being a bit unfair but it seems there are far too many hostelries that rely on summer tourism rather than actually providing good service that would pass the 'locals' test. The Scott Arms would appear to be one of these places; don't get me wrong, the building is... read more

I seem to have been rattling off 3 star reviews for weeks. So much so I began to think maybe my expectations for dining out are too high. The Scott Arms proves I was right all along, all too many establishments are not making an effort or just plain ordinary. So what makes this place different? ALL the staff seem... More

This must be one of the nicest pubs around....and the location with an uninterrupted view onto Corfe Castle in the distance must be amongst the best around. The service on the other hand is not quite of the same standard ....or at least not if all you want is a cup of cappuccino. Cold drinks may be fine, but the wait... More

You cannot get a better view of Corfe castle than from the garden. Beautiful views. We arrived at the Scott arms at around 7.00 pm hoping to enjoy some food n the garden to discover that their jerk kitchen had closed for the night and if we wanted to eat something more than a sandwich you had to eat inside.... We went with some friends over the weekend and was not disappointed. Parking can be a bit tricky if busy, just drive on past the pub towards the church and find somewhere safe to park just a short stroll away. The pub itself has an interesting layout, on split level with flagstone floors. Good choice of beer, wines and cider.... More

Lovely place to rest after a long walk along the coastal path. Nice fresh food & interesting drinks menu, then sup in the garden. England at its best!

As a local I've visited this pub many times. This was the first time since new the owners and from the website I had high hopes. The view remained as spectacular as ever and the interior remained largely unchanged. We were shown to the 'upper bar' which, being early evening was quiet,. Having placed our orders from the specials board... More

Great pub and food, higeldy pigeldy pub with lots of different interesting levels, home cooked food and I. Summer have a jerk chicken shack outside. Lots if seating in and out and a great walk from pub to clifftop a couple if miles of beautiful country and sea views.

We ate here whilst staying in the area. It was extremely busy and difficult to park but was well worth it. We had to wait a while for the food but it was lovely when it came, everything tasted fresh was hot and was cooked well. We did visit some time ago but our experience was very good.
