Walked to this pub from our campsite as we had heard about the Jamaican Jerk Shack. Arrived and it was busy but still had a good amount of seating inside and out. The Sunday roasts looked excellent but we were after the jerk food. So out into the lovely garden with good seating. Jerk chicken and mutton curry were wonderful.... More

Myself and my family were on a holiday and chose to visit here for my Mum's birthday meal. The pub was in a beautiful setting and the beer garden was full to burst! When looking at the menu there was a lovely choice of meals as well as more meals on the specials board featuring local produce. We were served... More

I've been to the Scott Arms many times and was expecting another lovely evening but the food and service both left a lot to be desired. We booked a table and had specifically asked for it to be accessible (one of the party is in a wheelchair) and were assured that this would not be a problem but on arrival... More

As the Carpenters put it, you'll be "On Top of the World, looking down on creation..." and what a creation! Corfe Castle nestled in the hills like something out of Narnia... only you'll be in the heart of Hardy's Wessex.

I don't normally write reviews, because I normally put it down to experience and get over it. But.... They didn't get the basics right! Beer and ploughmans! The otter ale, which I know very well, either hadn't been pulled through from last night or cleaning fluid not flushed correctly. The bread for the ploughmans was not edible. Both very disappointing... More

The Scott Arms, perched above Corfe Castle, has one of the best beer garden views on the country. It can get very crowded at weekends and in holiday time but on an early July Tuesday evening was busy but very pleasant The staff were friendly and efficient and the food served quite quickly after ordering, and of very good quality.... Stopped for lunch while exploring the area, great crab sandwich, just a bit perturbed that I needed to go out and locate a table number before I was allowed to order! Views from the Garden on a clear day are lovely.

We visited this pub while on holiday as there had been positive reviews in the visitor book in our cottage, but it was so disappointing. The location certainly does not match the food and service. We had already visited just for drinks, and were happy with what the menu offered. We booked a table for 6PM and didn't then get... More
