We were staying in Corfe Castle and we ate at The Scott Arms on the third night of our visit after a disappointing experience in The Greyhound the previous night, The Scott Arms definitely did not disappoint, the pub was welcoming and cosy with a lovely real fire, it was quite busy even for a Tuesday night so we sat... We have been to the Scott Arms on a couple of occasions during the summer and were bringing some family here to show them. We arrived after a walk to Old Harry Rocks at around 3pm. We had checked the website which said that the restaurant served food till 3.45 during the winter. When we arrived we were told the... More

Dear ATG123 Apologies for the confusion on Sunday. We have had some amendments to our website and the times were wrong and had been missed on proofing. Hence the surprise from our staff as we have always finished Sunday lunch at around 2.30 in the 6 years we have been here. So my apologies again for the misunderstanding and I... More

Visited the Scott arms after a winter walk with my sister around Champmans pool. We stopped off for lunch we and our two dogs were made very welcome (our puppy was a big hit). Atmosphere was good in the bar area with a log fire kicking out a bit of heat in the corner. Food was fresh and very good... More

We were down for a weekend of walking along the Dorset coast and had the best possible start, on a bleak November night, in Scotts. The welcome was warm, with plenty of nooks and crannies in which punters could seat themselves. Wholesome, tasty food; decent choice of beers and wines; friendly, efficient staff. So pleased were we that we repaired to... More

Four of us enjoyed an excellent meal. We all chose the pork tenderloin which was very tasty. Desserts and cheese board also very good. Very helpful waitress and serving staff. Meal somewhat spoilt by very young children in the restaurant area making a lot of noise but this was not the restaurant' s fault and to be fair the parents... More

On a recent visit to Purbeck we eat at both the New Inn near Corfe Castle - Friday lunch and Saturday evening meal - and then had a Sunday evening meal at the Scott Arms. The food was very good at the New Inn but better still at the Scott Arms. Four adults eat four different dishes and we all... More

Great pub especially when warm and you can sit in garden over looking Corfe Castle. Food is good ( quite expensive ) and especially the Jerk Shak when open. Worth a visit especially at lunchtime.

Having explored the charms of Corfe Castle, I decided to strike out for Kingston where I knew there was the Scott Arms. The walk took longer than I had expected for it was mostly uphill ( in places 16%) but it was all worth while. What a feast for cyder buffs -some locally made - and I was able to... More

We always come here when we are on holiday in the area. The Scott Arms has a good menu of tasty dishes in pleasant surroundings. It does get very busy at the weekend but you can usually squeeze in. Best of all, we can take the dog in the bar for a tasty lunch or dinner and everyone is very... More
