Wonderful location and breathtaking views. Just dont hold your breath when you order. Staff outnumbered customers yet it took 20 minutes and a reminder to make our drinks and then a further 10 to get a bowl of chips, we asked for sauces but they never came at all. Terrible service. Such a shame

Came here for drinks yesterday with friends at lunchtime. What an amazing pub! The view from the extensive beer garden is absolutely stunning - looking down towards the Purbeck Hills and Corfe Castle - wondrous! Inside the pub has lots of atmosphere, with vaulted ceilings and a great ale selection. Friendly staff and decent value make this place hard to... More

I had forgotten about this place as not been for many years. Went for a pre wedding pint with mates and it is a great pub. Great historic building and good beers, i had food here some time ago which was great but not sure what it is like now, it is ever popular so i imagine it has not... More

Dear Mike C Thank you for your positive words. It is always great to hear when someone has enjoyed their visit. Nickey's Jerk Shak could be open at Easter, weather permitting, and is well worth a visit if you are visiting again. The most authentic Jamaican food from Kingston, JA to Kingston, Dorset! The scott arms is by far my favourite pub! The atmosphere is great, its cosy alcoves, log fires and great service! My favourite is always the local cider's especially Joe's! Well worth a visit

Popped in for a light lunch after a walk. We chose the 'sharing ploughmans' at £10.95 as we thought between two that was good value. Wrong. What there was of it was very nice, but no way was it enough to share. One roll? One picked onion? One set of cutlery? So turned out to be very poor value. Very... More

Dear Lynne Thank you for your comments with regard to our Ploughman's. We have only recently tried this as another sharing board in addition to the popular Charcutrerie and Fish Boards. I have discussed your points with the kitchen and revised how this is presented. Thank you for your feedback and I hope to see you again. Best regards Simon More

If you are visiting the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset, make your way to the small village of Kingston, which is located on a hill overlooking Corfe Castle, just to the south of Swanage. There you'll find the old pub, The Scott Arms. It's well worth staying for a drink and a meal. The pub has a large outside garden,... More

My partner and I visited the pub this month to sample their special Caribbean Night and we had an absolutely fantastic time. As somebody who lives in close proximity to London, I am very familiar with Jamaican cooking and this was some of the best I have ever tasted. The menu on offer was fantastic and the price was very... More

Been here twice and they are really kid friendly, have wonderful food and one of the best views I have ever seen at a pub! Excellent staff too and my advice would be to book a table as it gets pretty busy. Totally loved it and can't recommend enough!

We were staying in Corfe Castle and we ate at The Scott Arms on the third night of our visit after a disappointing experience in The Greyhound the previous night, The Scott Arms definitely did not disappoint, the pub was welcoming and cosy with a lovely real fire, it was quite busy even for a Tuesday night so we sat... We have been to the Scott Arms on a couple of occasions during the summer and were bringing some family here to show them. We arrived after a walk to Old Harry Rocks at around 3pm. We had checked the website which said that the restaurant served food till 3.45 during the winter. When we arrived we were told the... More

Dear ATG123 Apologies for the confusion on Sunday. We have had some amendments to our website and the times were wrong and had been missed on proofing. Hence the surprise from our staff as we have always finished Sunday lunch at around 2.30 in the 6 years we have been here. So my apologies again for the misunderstanding and I... More
