What a lovely place the Scott Arms is, fantastic food, beer and service, with a lovely garden, including a brilliant view of Corfe Castle.!

I don't normally write reviews, because I normally put it down to experience and get over it. But.... They didn't get the basics right! Beer and ploughmans! The otter ale, which I know very well, either hadn't been pulled through from last night or cleaning fluid not flushed correctly. The bread for the ploughmans was not edible. Both very disappointing... More

The Scott Arms, perched above Corfe Castle, has one of the best beer garden views on the country. It can get very crowded at weekends and in holiday time but on an early July Tuesday evening was busy but very pleasant The staff were friendly and efficient and the food served quite quickly after ordering, and of very good quality.... Stopped for lunch while exploring the area, great crab sandwich, just a bit perturbed that I needed to go out and locate a table number before I was allowed to order! Views from the Garden on a clear day are lovely.

We visited this pub while on holiday as there had been positive reviews in the visitor book in our cottage, but it was so disappointing. The location certainly does not match the food and service. We had already visited just for drinks, and were happy with what the menu offered. We booked a table for 6PM and didn't then get... More

Given 4 stars as totally worth a visit on a sunny day if only for the view. The food was fine but, in all honesty not spectacular but I would still go again as the garden, which is pretty big, has the most amazing view of Corfe Castle.

Couldn't ask for a more picturesque view during lunch!! You can see for miles to the nearby Corfe Castle while you sit in gorgeous gardens at rustic stone tables. The Moroccan stew should be passed, but I can hardly remember it because the atmosphere was exquisite!!

We walked into the beer garden to be greeted by a stunning view of Corfe Castle. The service was fine, although they had run out of smoked trout in the starter and not mentioned this. The diner at the next table asked and was told that they had doubled up on the smoked salmon (which appeared to be the case).... More

I have previously reviewed this pub/restaurant, despite the poor service reported by other reviewers we have eaten well here from a good kitchen in fair ambience and tried to ignore the poor service. However, service remains crucial - followed by good food and then ambience. When at 6pm on a Saturday evening you apparently don't have kitchen staff on duty,... More

We chose a very fine day. What a view. We sat outside and ordered from the bar. Excellent food tasty and hot (even though served outside). Half of us managed a dessert which was also well worth finding the room for. Excellent choice of ciders and ales. Pleasant staff. Main course £14.95 and dessert £4.95. Well worth a visit.
