Beautiful views, homely pub, & that's about it....

Stumbled across this place by accident. Set in a stunning location, two of us stopped for a late lunch. The menu was a little "Posh" for pub grub,& overpriced. I think bangers & mash was over £10.Being really hungry we decided to order regardless of the prices. A full half an hr later my burger... read more

We had Sunday lunch here a couple of weeks ago, and were glad we had booked ahead as it was full! It is very popular with walkers, particularly those with dogs as they are allowed inside. The pub itself is a delight with plenty of old world charm and atmosphere. Some of our party of 4 had the prawn cocktail which... More

The Scott Arms is ver quaint, in beautiful location and has gorgeous views over Corfe Castle. The food is OK, quite expensive for what it is, but edible. However, the waitress on duty when we visit was a lazy madam! She sat on her backside gossiping loudly with a couple of customers (who really didn't seem to want her company!)... More

(T.I. featuring Christina Aguilera) We came to The Scott Arms after a series of happy accidents. A business meeting in Bournemouth finished early, and my guvnor asked me if I was interested in beer! Having explained that I'm actually a member of the Guild of British Beer Writers we drove out of Bournemouth, across the Bramble Bush Bay ‘chain ferry’... More

Stopped for late lunch one day as staying in the area. Friendly welcome, only chose from snack menu food was good, had a pint of Ringwood very pleasant. Nice pub number small rooms, although too cold to sit out had a large garden with a great view of Corfe Castle. When next in the area will certainly return and probably... More

A trip to Corfe castle found us at this quite famous public house. Quirky, friendly and busy with the most amazing view of Corfe castle from the rear garden. We booked in advance ( a must). We arrived at 1.30 pm and at 2.30 still hadn't received our mains. When they arrived they were superb. The Sunday roast was magnificent... More

Four of us made the effort to lunch here after one of our party dined here 6 years ago with a group of Scouters on a ramble to Swyre Head. It has not lost its charm. The interior is rustic and the exterior offers stunning views across the Purbecks to Corfe Castle. A choice of menus offer either A la... More

Wonderful location and breathtaking views. Just dont hold your breath when you order. Staff outnumbered customers yet it took 20 minutes and a reminder to make our drinks and then a further 10 to get a bowl of chips, we asked for sauces but they never came at all. Terrible service. Such a shame

Came here for drinks yesterday with friends at lunchtime. What an amazing pub! The view from the extensive beer garden is absolutely stunning - looking down towards the Purbeck Hills and Corfe Castle - wondrous! Inside the pub has lots of atmosphere, with vaulted ceilings and a great ale selection. Friendly staff and decent value make this place hard to... More

I had forgotten about this place as not been for many years. Went for a pre wedding pint with mates and it is a great pub. Great historic building and good beers, i had food here some time ago which was great but not sure what it is like now, it is ever popular so i imagine it has not... More

Dear Mike C Thank you for your positive words. It is always great to hear when someone has enjoyed their visit. Nickey's Jerk Shak could be open at Easter, weather permitting, and is well worth a visit if you are visiting again. The most authentic Jamaican food from Kingston, JA to Kingston, Dorset!
