Visited here with a large family group during the week. Parking wasn't very good as the car park was full. It was a fabulous day for the end of September and we were able to sit outside in the large garden that overlooks Corfe Castle in the distance. We had to queue for a while to place our order because... More

We arrived at 2pm on a busy Sunday half way along a coastal path walk from Kimmeridge. Chose to sit outside in the lovely garden with sunny views all the way to Corfe Castle. With that location I was going to be happy with our lunch stop almost regardless of the food! However, we both chose roast beef, which arrived... More

Caught the bus out for an afternoon wander around Kingston, beautiful September day. Had a lovely meal, excellent steak and pork, salted caramel ice cream, for the complainers about slow service, get a grip this place gets super busy and staff are only human, if it's busy then resign yourself to a bit of a wait! We didn't have to... More

We came here for dinner whilst staying in Swanage. The food was absolutely lovely and staff very friendly. I would recommend booking as we were very lucky to find a table as they were all reserved. Would definitely recommend this pub and we will be back

Had read previous reviews and to be honest I was not sure if we should go or not! But so glad we did. We sat inside and the friendly bar maid (not sure if she was landlady or not) served us drinks and then came and took our order. We had the burger, steak, Crab pasta and the pork. All... More

We popped up to this establishment from Swanage while on holiday earlier this month, remembering from a previous visit that dogs are welcome too inside if it turns chilly outside. It's always busy here, due to stunning views, great beer, and lovely food. We were greeted by a cheerful young French waitress, sorry I forget your name, but you made... More

Perhaps the most positive thing I can say about this place is there is a beautiful view across the fields towards Corfe Castle. Sadly there seems to be more interest in making money out of food than dropping in for a drink as every available table was reserved for food. I felt the food was overpriced and when it arrived... We visited on a beautiful day and opted to sit outside to soak up the rays and the beautiful Dorset countryside. There is first class view of Corfe Castle. The pub is about 3/4 mile from the coastal path walk fron Kimmeridge Bay and worth the detour. Be aware of the time though because food isn't served all day. I... More

The Scott Arms has the best view of any pub on Dorset. From the north facing rear garden the grind drops away to give a stunning view of Corfe Castle and beyond. Perhaps that is why the pub seems to make so little effort to please its customers. With a view like that why bother with good service good food... More
