Family of 6 selected this after reading good reviews. Could not book, arrived early @ 630 and sat in garden. Ordered food from bar @ 7 (long Q), food arrived 820!!! Ok quality, nothing fantastic, just basic pub food. Luxury fish pie certainly wasn't a luxury. Surroundings a bit drab in garden/patio to rear, needs a good clean and furniture... More

We were staying in Corfe Castle and advised to try this pub for our evening meal. The food is excellant and some of the best pub food we've had. A reservation is recommended as it can often get busy. The food was fresh, tasty and lots of it with a nice traditional English pub family atmosphere - what more could you... More

Nice quality pub meal in a fantastic setting with good views. We eat here when we are in the area. If you eat in the garden, you can see the steam trains go by and you can take your dog, always a bonus!

Well, first let me apologise for the miserable manager. We will identify the culprit and put him on smile training. You were here to enjoy a happy, holiday meal...... a smile costs nothing as they say. Your comments are really valuable and will help us to be more aware of how our attitudes enhance or detract from a customers visit.... More

This is fun, family friendly pub with an excellent menu.It is very popular with locals; and has a garden with lovely views of the Purbecks The front outside area is to be avoided because the busy, noisy A351 runs just in front.

Family fun pub is a great way to describe us, thank you. Not a lot we can do about the traffic I'm affraid, but with the demands my wife makes of me, after reading your comments she may well ask me to have the pub moved back a few yards! Pleased you had a good time, thanks, Mark the landlord. More

Arrived late one evening and very hungry. Had an excellent steak & ale pie and mushroom stroganoff - very satisfied. Beer was good too. Very friendly bar staff who couldn't be more helpful. Highly recommended, for very good pub food at a reasonable price. Quirky interior!

We found this Inn whilst on holuday in Dorset. We were staying at a cottage only a minute away, so we went to the castle a lot. My first and favourite meal at the Inn was their sausages and chips. The sausages were slightly browned, succulent, tender and smooth, and the chips were soft and fluffy, overall this meal was... More

Thanks for sharing. Our sausages are made for us on a local farm, using their own meats and recipes. It may cost a little more but as your comments show it 's worth it. On behalf of everyone at the Castle Inn, thanks again. More
