Top landlord got us a table when the pub was very busy on a Friday night. Food was lovely - especially the local Poole oysters and the scallops. Walking from the Ammonite B&B we were made welcome in the Castle Inn. Great food and lots of it, good beer quick friendly service and a welcome as warm as the fire in the atmospheric old hearth. The landlord extended an offer to drive us to the B&B as it was raining, a wonderful offer. But we had decided to... More

Small but friendly - definitely book on busy weekends as limited seating. Steaks were great with HUGE pile of chips and all very well cooked. No major complaints just a tad on the expensive side. Worth checking out.

Excellent food, beautifully cooked, generous portions at sensible prices. It made a change to have inspiring vegetarian options available. Lovely old inn with flagstone floors, the wood burner gave a wonderful warm glow and made it very welcoming. Fortunately we had booked having read previous reviews and just as well that we had as all tables were taken. This was... More

On arrival we were greeted by everything that is a traditional pub. The atmosphere was instantly warming followed by the lovely reception from the staff. Once we were seated the food that followed was brilliant. Would highly recommend and will be returning asap. Definately book first as very popular with the locals.

We booked the day before, and would recommend others do as well so you won't be disappointed. The place was packed. The service was very friendly, the beer well kept, and the food fresh and tasty. Good veggie options, too. We really enjoyed our choices including the warm Dorset apple cake and salted caramel icecream we indulged in after. Felt... More

Good meal here on Friday evening while staying for long week-end in Corfe Castle. Friendly atmosphere, good food, reasonable prices, good beer, warm fire ... and easy walk from where we were staying ... what's not to like?! So we went back on Sunday night ... and we weren't disappointed. Imagine it is essential to book in the summer. Friday... More

Sometimes I just love TripAdvisor! I would never have visited this place, nor thought to have telephoned ahead for a table. I would have missed one of the best Sunday roast dinners. This small pub has a bar, but limited room to stand and order a beer; every foot of space has a table with smiling customers. There was a... More
