Cosy atmosphere with a good pint of beer. Quite small so you may need to book to avoid disappointment. Food typical pub grub. Owners and staff very friendly and welcoming.

We were a party of 15 from all over the UK in Corfe to celebrate three birthdays in the group and the Castle fitted us all in on Friday night. No bog-standard pub grub here. Excellent home-cooked mains and desserts, with friendly and prompt service. A wide choice with some excellent specials. Highly recommended.

We eat in the Castle Inn on three consecutive nights and had a really good experience. The food both vegetarian and meat was good and also plentiful. The staff were very helpful even under pressure of being very busy. I would recommend booking in advance especially on a Saturday night.

Lovely cost atmosphere, almost the whole of this small pub had the tables set and reserved for eating, suggest you book.

Ate here twice during our 2 day stay in Corfe after reading great Trip Advisor reviews. Pre-booked on both days due to its popularity. It would be wise to do this as it's quite small and popular with both locals and visitors alike. Lovely, relaxed atmosphere: Cosy fireplace and fairy lights decking ceiling. Unobtrusive music allows good conversation. Very friendly... More

Went there Sat 22/11/2014 for lunch. Reserved a table, which is recommended as ALL the tables were reserved when we arrived 1230. Staff were friendly and inviting - natural smiles are so much nicer than plastic ones. The interior is darkish - it's an old, old pub, with small windows, but nevertheless the atmosphere is lovely. There was a fire... More

We ended up here for three evening meals during our stay in the area. From the minute you enter the door, however busy they are,you get a smiling welcome. The food is more than good and freshly prepared with local produce. We mainly ate fish dishes which were excellent and very fresh. Booking is advisable although they did fit us... More

Did a walk around Corfe Castle and visited the Castle Inn for lunch. It was just perfect after a cold, wet walk - Doom Bar to drink and beef stew and dumplings to eat. The bar staff were very friendly and helpful and the place had a genuinely happy feel about it.

We visited friends living in Swanage who thought we might like this restaurant, their favorite it turns out. Their understatement made us love this fine restaurant even more. Best dining in UK that we have experienced - (have come many times). We are taking back to California a wonderful memory of conversation, over a pint or so, and an amazing... More
