We popped in here for a drink in the garden on the Sunday as we were staying for a week in Corfe Castle. The beer garden is lovely - so we came back that night and had a meal in the pub - yes at first sight it is odd with fairy lights on the ceiling but the food was... More

We popped in by chance after leaving the castle area and found a welcoming pub. The staff were quick to serve and friendly in their approach. The atmosphere was full of old country charm and a the coloured Christmas lights on the ceiling added to the cosiness. We only wanted a snack and the soup of the day was hot... More

Booked Saturday night, glad we did as they were having to turn people away, nice dining area but busy and a little cramped for room, our table was obligingly moved a little so we didn't feel quite so much as if we were in the way of the bar, thousands of tiny multi coloured lights all over the ceiling we... A great place to eat with a real pub atmosphere. Very good food and good service run by a husband and wife. There is a nice rear garden to use in good weather. Beware the pub is not very large and s very popular with the locals so to make sure of a table it is best to reserve in... More

Thanks so much for your kind words. Everything works fine here as long as I remember that my wife is always right! We are very small, so you are right it's advisable to ring in advance. Thanks again. More

We ate here twice whilst in the area. The pub is small with flagstone floors, and twinkling fairy lights adorning the ceiling . Staff friendly and helpful. You go to the bar on arrival, and the staff give you a number, you will be seated as soon as one becomes available.however you can now book ahead now the summer hols... More

After we had arrived and settled ourselves we were warned that there would be an hour's delay for food. We had already failed to get a table at the Scott Arms and were not yet ravenous so we decided to risk it (after our order had been placed they shut the kitchen to allow the kitchen to clear the backlog).... First, please except my apology for the delay. Perhaps the lesson for us here is to turn peolpe away sooner. We are a very small venue and you started by saying how you failed to find space at The Scott Arms, a very large venue. You are never going to get the best of anywhere when the area is so... More

We chose this pub, having seen the excellent reviews on here, and it's a little gem! Decent parking, quirky interior, and fabulous food. A lovely warm welcome from the staff. We were having a late lunch (food finishes at 3pm), this worked in our favour as we caught the last half hour and had a choice on tables. My husband... More

Had family lunch here on a busy Thursday during school hols. Luckily we didn't arrive until around 2 so no problem getting a table. The interior is beautiful with lots of colours lights, kids loved it. Whilst we waited for food the kids had a quick play in the garden - no slides etc but still nice with chickens wandering... More

We went here for a Sunday roast after the heavens opened and all the other pubs were full. It was a little gem. The food was delicious and plentiful and the staff were very friendly. It was the best pub we went into all week.

We visited the Castle Inn on Tuesday 25/8/14 on an evening more like November than August. As we walked in our spirits rose as we saw a busy bustling Pub with happy people in it. The decor is not for the faint hearted with red checked table cloths and fairy lights in the ceiling - but don't let that put... More

What a lovely review, thank you. Sorry about the weather, late August has not been kind to those coming for a summer holiday! I'm sure that someone as positive as yourself however would have a goodtime whatever the weather. Be great to see you next year! More
