I came down with some friends and good to catch up with conversations, and also came in with my partner for a meal. The food tasted lovely, and there was lots of it. Serves great tasting cider, and drinks for the lady.

Friendly staff but a very quiet atmosphere. Pub was dog friendly which was one of the reasons we chose it. Food was quite good

Lovely garden area to sit in. The bar staff were great. Friendly staff in the restaurant and the food was excellent. Kids meals were really good too.

A great friendly pub, with a very relaxed atmosphere. The menu was quite extensive, the food was all home cooked & fresh, the portions were huge, so make sure your hungry when you order. You do wait a while for your food, but this is to be expected as like I said its all cooked fresh. Would definitely recommend a visit.

We visited Captain Jacks on the recommendation of fellow Coeliacs. We were not disappointed. The menu was extensive with clearly marked gluten free choices. The staff were friendly and helpful and very welcoming. It was a lovely September day and we sat in the garden with the dog, although it was good to know if it had been raining we... More

Great friendly pub. Food was delicious and probably one of the best burgers we have ever tasted staff were really warm and friendly. Only criticism was slow food service and a lack of any real ale at the bar. Would definitely go back to eat again.

Lovely, friendly pub. Me and hubby got very merry here one nice warm evening. We were staying in Morthoe and would walk here. Can't wait for our next kid free weekend to Devon to do it all again.
