The pub had a great, relaxed and welcoming feel. Drinks were good and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. You should definitely check out the attached restaurant - Hungry Jacks - the food was delicious!

I only spent one evening with a friend in Captain jacks pub and thought it a great traditional pub, if you like cider then look no further as the cloudy real sweet cider served here is truly the best, though strong so eat first is your best bet. The staff are brilliant as well and the locals at the bar... More

We we're initially put off by the pirate theme exterior and dismissed the place at the start of the week. We then met some old friends that have moved to the area and they recommended it. If you walk through into the eatery at the back you will be greated by a tranquil garden/dining area. We both had the different... More

We went in early as we were hungry. Very helpful lady, who was rather rushed off her feet! It's like a canteen now, you order at the till and the food is brought to you. Rather preferred it the old way when it was table service. It was really busy, especially once it started raining and everyone in the garden... More

We stopped in here after spending the afternoon in Woolacombe for a couple of drinks. They have a great selection on offer at average prices, but it's the atmosphere that makes Captain Jacks stand out, it's just a really cool place to have a few drinks. We saw the menu and restaurant area and it all looked pretty good too.... More

We visited here on our first day and all sat in the bar area with our 2 dogs and played pool. This pub offers a fantastic beer garden too with lots going on and is both dog and family friendly.Staff were really helpful especially the barman in the woolly hat!A recommended bar/restaurant.

Captain Jack's was our final port of call in a peak season supper hunt. The food did not arrive fast, as we had been honestly informed on arrival. When it did arrive (cooked to order), it was delicious. The ambiance was enchanting, reminding us of the quirky bars/restaurants you get in the Caribbean or on thr gulf coast of Florida.... More
