A great find

Taken over by 3 mums last year, Jacks now serves all home cooked food at incredibly reasonable prices. The menu caters well for families but also has options for gluten free and vegetarian. I had a goats cheese pizza and my friend had beetroot pie both of which were excellent! The staff are very... read more

This is now called Jack's Eatery, next to Captain Jack's pub. The pub and the eatery operate separately but you can take drinks into the eatery or food into the pub. We called for coffee, lunch, tea and dinner on 4 different days. Everything we had was good value and good quality. There is a wide range of gluten free... More

Want some-where in Woolacombe to eat great food and take the pup, look no further. There is even dog treats on the counter. I sampled the Nacho's, made the mistake of going large portion, I say mistake its just there was so much i had no room for the planned ice cream.

We had lunch at this place and ordered the ploughmans. The ploughmans were good but a bit frugal with the cold meats and bread, just a couple of pieces. I would expect more for a ploughmans costing a tenner. The staff were friendly and the beer garden was a nice little sun trap.

We loved this pub, had a really lovely ploughman's and a few pints. The staff are really welcoming and friendly, and the beer garden is a perfect sun trap and has lots of quirky decorations. Will definitely be back!

A lovely chilled out place to eat. Good selection of food. Friendly staff. I had a curried mustard chicken with sweet potato fries and salad, very nice.

We went one even without our card 😳 but Mel was very nice about it so we went the night after with the card! We have nothing but kind words to say about this place. Children are very welcome and even have a snug full of toys to keep them entertained whilst waiting for food. Food is superb, desserts are... More

Dog friendly pub. We ate in the restaurant area. The food was utterly fantastic. (home made chips a bonus). The weather turned, so we planned to spend a few hours drinking in the cosy front bar. The Red Stipe tasted like mould. We changed to Rattler. That was mouldy tasting too. Two other couples also complained about the drinks. The... More

Terribly sorry for your experience. We can't apologize enough. We had an absolute nightmare with our lines from re-opening this year, it was down to the cleaning product left in the lines over the winter, we were working with the brewery to resolve the problem which was coming and going (won't bore you with the technicalities) Anyway we ended up... Ate here yesterday evening as part of 2 couples away for the weekend. The 'eatery' is away at the back of the pub and had approx 20 people in it. We arrived at about 8.15pm and all fancied steak..... only 3 in the kitchen and all arrived practically still chewing grass and not medium as requested, staff dissapeared so could... More

Went with friends to celebrate 3 of us having birthdays in the last week. The staff were very welcoming when we were trying to book earlier in the day and during our meal. We took a menu away and rang in our choices and everything was really slick when we arrived. Portions were generous and the food was good quality... More
