We sort of stumbled on the brasserie on the way to the beach. Thank god we did. Nicest coffee I've had in a seaside resort bar none. So we went back for a light lunch - very nice toasted sandwiches, handmade crisps, a very tasty and reasonably priced bottle of Montepulciano. And they welcomed my parents' dog too. So we... More

We went to the Bay for a celebratory Birthday meal ..... There were 12 of us and I have to say that we gad a great time. The staff looked after us very well, and our waiter Alex was particularly good with our dairy allergic 6 year old. Thoroughly enjoyed the ambience, food and a good time was had by... More

We booked a table here on our first night staying at the hotel. We arrived for our reservation 10 minutes early but could not be seated as the restaurant was too busy, although it was virtually empty! We checked the menu online before hand to check it catered for our fussy eaters, which it appeared to do so. The portion... More

We stayed at the WBH and the Bistro is attached to it. Food was good restaurant standard and I suspect the best you can get in Woolacombe. Service was first class, friendly and helpful. Gluten-free choices and advice was excellent. Good wine list.

We decided out of all the restaurants in the area that this one offered more than burgers and chips. I had the beef chilli and my wife the seafood platter. We were impressed with the quality overall and we left full and happy with our meals. The cocktails may have also played a part in that. Only reason it did... More

We stayed at The Woolacombe Bay Hotel for 5 days and visited here twice for evening meals, having tried a couple of other places and walked around the small town checking menus. Both times we were thoroughly impressed with the food and the setting. On our first visit the main course was delivered before the starter plates were fully cleared... More

Maybe I picked a bad day, but I was not impressed. Staff were more interested in schmoozing some customers to the detriment of others. Food was average and overpriced.

We stopped in the Bay Brasserie for lunch after a swim at the hotel and ordered the Mediterranean Platter, a sharing dish for two. It was delicious, for sure, but a bit small for two people, and there wasn't enough pitta bread to go with the hummus. I asked for a couple of extra slices to finish it off. Not... More

Where I proposed to my fiancée in September. Not an extensive menu, but what they do is well cooked & well presented. Attentive to customer requests.

We are locals to the area and on our two week break visited this lovely brasserie bar. The staff were very welcoming and the service was excellent! The food was cooked to perfection and well presented. Location wise you can not beat this it's right by the beautiful Woolacombe beach. We will be returning again soon.
