Good food, excellent ciders. Local. Dogs allowed (all pubs should allow dogs in). Have eaten here many times, and never been disappointed. Car park a little awkward, but otherwise superb.

i have been frequenting this establishment for 15 years and the food, drinks and atmosphere are outstanding. However the real draw of this pub is the landlord... some say he's like a box a chocolates - you never know what you're gonna get. He is charming yet blunt, easy going yet stern but he always provides a top class service... More

We visit the Exeter Inn on a very regular basis when in this glorious part of Devon. The owners and staff are always very friendly and accommodating. The food is lovely and interior and exterior of the building is very quaint and characterful. The locals are friendly and always very entertaining. It must be visited if your in the area.

attached to the inn highways is a small self catering unit. accommodation is basic but comfortable. If you want peace and tranquillity then this is a wonderful area to stay. There are very pleasant walks right on the door step, and lots of other places to visit within 1/2 hr drive. We ate in the pub most evenings and all... More

I am in the middle of a weeks break in this location and felt that I had to recommend this restaurant to others. The food is with out question the best that I have ever had in a pub. The portions more than ample, and very tasty. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly and the staff are most helpful and... More

On arrival (on our first doggy cottage holiday) we were very excited and headed straight to the inn for a well deserved travellers rest. It was nice to go into the pub and see doggie treats in the bar, although the overall welcome was frosty. This continued when we tried to book to eat in the pub and we're told... More

It was our Golden Wedding Anniversary and our friends took us for a celebratory dinner. My choice was Venison - grilled with hunter's sauce followed by Fresh Lemon Sorbet. My husband ate Lamb Shanks (his favourite) followed by a traditional bread and butter pudding. Everything was cooked perfectly and served with delightful fresh vegetables. Delectable, my mouth waters at the... More

The Exeter Inn serves the best pub food in North Devon. Their French chef Oliver is a master at what he does. My partner dare not take me anywhere else as he knows I will spend the entire evening moaning that 'it's not as good as the Exeter Inn'. The menu is varied, you can usually find some of the... More
