We were a group of about 15 and were looked after beautifully. There is a good varied menu and everyone was happy with their meal - very good value, and better than expected going on price alone.

Stayed at Bampton the Exeter Inn was a few yards away so that was good. Had 2 great meals in there. Plentiful and good value. Puds were nice to. Caters for adults and children. We will return thank you Diane and Paul

We visited the Exeter Inn for the second time last evening. The welcome was warm, staff friendly and attentive. We sat by the log fire and enjoyed beautifully presented, well cooked, very testy food that was very reasonably priced. Very good choice of food and wines. This will not be our last visit.

Despite living only 3 miles away hadn't visited until this week. Saw an advert for lunchtime Carvery and it was definitely worth the visit. Locally sourced meat, fresh veg and yorkshire puddings were amazing. Will definitely be going back

Plenty of car parking space. Friendly greetings from the owner. Restaurant divided in few sections as expected in a traditional building. Well look after interior with plenty of tables. Food are average. Duck pate is good n smooth. Fried Prawns starter is good m flavourful. Unfortunately the soup of the day is blunt and tasteless. Grill steak is dry n... More

I went for a quick lunch with the girls and I have to say it was the perfect stop. It's not exceptional food and they would suggest it is but that's reflected in the price. It's cheap, simple English menu with helpful staff. They have lots of local ales and a good choice of other beverages. The Irish coffees weren't... More

19 of our walking group turned up on a Sunday for a pre-booked lunch. Despite being shown the attractive restaurant on the earlier visit, we were put in the stark pump room with only 12 seats, which after pointing this out and the fact we had advised 19 for lunch, resulted in a few more tables and chairs, but some... I popped in last night for an unplanned meal. Walked through the door to receive a warm welcome by happy and dedicated staff. A vast and varied menu offering the best in home cooked style food. A very clean and well presented layout with great car parking. A massive thank you to all that made my night one to remember... More

Very welcoming and friendly. Accepted dogs essential for ourselves. Food was homemade and good quality. Beer and wine good. Surroundings were old fashioned and charming but a tad tatty.
