A warm welcome awaits at the Chichester Arms, a dog friendly pub in the beautiful village of Morthoe. Superb, home cooked food and real ales and ciders plus attentive staff made this our pub our choice during our stay. Tables cannot be booked in advance but the staff keep a list of people waiting to dine and it is well... More

The food was lovely. It was cosy and very friendly. The only problem is that they don't take bookings and it becomes a bit of a nightmare to wait for a table. However they are very organised and accomodating.

We had two meals at the Chichester Arms last week while on holiday in Devon, once as a couple and another time with friends who live locally. The menu was varied and reasonably priced and the food all tasted homecooked with generous portion sizes. I enjoyed the mackerel starter which I had on the first night and it was also... More

We were on a long coastal walk from Woolacombe to the lighthouse at Bulls Point when the Chichester Arms was recommended to us for their food but on that occasion fatigue prevented us finding the pub. We returned a few days later just before the food service stopped at 9pm and despite the lateness we were warmly welcomed to come... More

We went for family dinner after reading all the positive reviews. The pub is nicely furnished and has a warm ambience. We had the chicken tikka masala and cheese burgers. To be honest, after reading all the reviews about how marvelous the food was, i think i have expected too much. The chicken was basically good but lacked some taste,... More

If you're coming here for dinner, don't attempt a three course meal unless you have the stomach of a horse. My partner and I both enjoyed a cream tea here a year ago so this year decided to try a meal. We both opted for the vegetable lasagne which was possibly the best lasagne I've ever tasted. It came with... More

Have dined here many times, it can get very busy especially at tea-time and you may have to wait a while but its worth the wait. Good choice of menu plus daily specials. The steak and ale pie was very good. Good choice of delicious deserts. Polite and helpful staff. Will be visiting again.

Best cream tea....ever! Sat outside with our dog, looking over the hill and out to sea. Beautiful presentation, and warm, friendly reception.

Lovely traditional pub in the truly beautiful village of Mortehoe. We stumbled across this pub on our way out of the village and decided we needed some lunch. We had the best ploughmans ever!!! Beer was good. Staff were great and even let us leave our car in the car park while we wandered around the village. Well worth a... More
