Excellent food and nice setting. The best food I have eaten in a Wetherspoons. All of my party agreed. I had the surf and turf and the steak was especially good, tender and perfectly cooked. Good service and good value.

Nice Pub with lots of good beers and the food is great value plus it has a nice outdoor area at the front.

I we ordered three currys and one gammon, they were all excellent, except the samosa and onion baji which came as an extra These did not turn up with the meal and were supplied after a short wait. It was rubbish, the samosa was stale and the baji cooked almost to a cinder. It appeared to have been sat around... More

Had a fish and chip lunch in here and I must say the fish was lovely. Very crisp batter no sogginess. Good service and good value.

Went in waited about 10 mins for a drink while i was waiting other people were served. The atmosphere was that of a airport lounge. I left without purchasing anything. Exmouth has a lot of pubs to choose from and this is not one i would recommended.

On a visit to Exmouth we dropped in to the Powder Monkey for a quick lunch. We found it to be an average Wetherspoons pub with the rooms decidedly unappealing and so chose to eat outside in the courtyard. We were served at the bar quickly enough, gave our order, stated our table number and sat back down. The table... More

Visited twice during May half term - Sunday Dinner and Thurs Curry Club. Friendly staff at the bar & waiting on tables which was especially appreciated when you are on holiday and made to feel welcome. Quick service considering how busy they were. A bit hard to find a table on each visit cue much moving chairs and tables around... More

We went to the Powder Monkey in Exmouth a couple of weeks ago, expecting the same level of service as we get from our local Wetherspoons, the Imperial in Exeter, and that we have experienced elsewhere. We were very disappointed. It was lunchtime on a lovely spring day and the restaurant was busy enough, but nothing like as busy as... More
