A few weeks ago me and my girl friend where having a nice time at the Grapevine (visiting Exmouth from Cornwall) and then as the night got on the manager was drunk out of his head, being obnoxious and smarmy to customers making people feel very uncomfortable. Never again! It's disgraceful behaviour..

I like this pub - the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. I like the mismatched furniture and can put up with the odd wobbly table, but recently I have realised their food (which was always good) has really stepped up a level. We went for Sunday lunch a couple of weeks ago and were very impressed. We... More

Brilliant food (love the mussels!) and absolutely love the ambiance and choice of drinks - my absolute fave pub in Exmouth.

Awful bar staff. Awful closing policies. No time allowed to finish drinks. No last orders called. This is on a mid-week evening where there were less that six people in the pub. Will never visit again. The rude staff are only interested in putting money in the til and getting the customers out of the door. Avoid at all costs.

We visited this bar 2 nights running, for drinks and nibbles. You can just tell it's a great place to spend an evening. Amazing selection of beers and drinks and tasty food!

So tried to visit the Grapevine on Saturday evening with a group of 7 people (everybody above 25) we were told at the door by the doorman no groups aloud, when I asked why he just repeated NO GROUPS ALLOWED,I would slightly understand if we were a group of men on a stagdoo but I was with my wife for her... I love this place. Beautiful food especially the Exmouth Mussels. Real ale with a great selection constantly changing.

I rocked up here on a vile, wet and windy evening and the welcome could not have been warmer. Given that it was mid-week it was reasonably busy with people both drinking and eating. The music was at a pleasing level and the tapas was tasty and well-presented. The bar was extremely well stocked too and the staff knowledgeable and... More

I can not belive some of the previous poor revues. We had a lovely lunch today. The barmaid was very knowlegable regarding the excellent range of cask ales on sale. We were offered tasters and she advised us of the type and taste of the Ales on offer. We were made to feel very welcome and will certainly visit again... More
