We enjoyed a very nice lunch here. We sat in the sunny beer garden. The service was good and we all enjoyed our reasonably priced meals. The real ale was also very well kept and very nice as it was from a brewery which was local to the area.

We were staying at the Devon Cliffs and were looking for somewhere that would allow a dog in. Thank God we found the Clinton Arms. Inca allowed in on a lead, the food was gorgeous and the staff couldn't do enough to make sure we had a fantastic meal. It was so good that we went there to eat Friday... More

I recently visited the Clinton Arms for an evening meal. Initially staff were friendly up until the point of pre payment of the meal however, the whole experience was let down by the wait for food - 40 minutes when there were no other obvious diners in the restaurant. When the food arrived the presentation looked good however the actual... More

Visited on New Years Day 2014, after a pleasant 4 mile walk with 12 other walkers, supplemented by another 6 non walkers just for lunch. Despite pre-ordering most of the lunches before our walk, we waited 90 minutes for our meals and 2 of those-the soups, were sent back as inedible. The managers excuse was that he had 65 other... We are on Christmas Eve. It was a big party of 9 and the food was excellent. The decor is lovely and it felt as if we were in a good restaurant rather than a pub. Recommended to try this pub for a meal.
