We came in with happy faces and left within 5 minutes never wanting to visit again. We took 2 minutes to look at the menu and decide what we were going to order. I went up to the counter to order and the lady behind the counter said nothing and looked at me as if to say what do I... More

We went in here today and we were greeted.. Oh no hold on we weren't... Grunted at by an employee. And then ignored. We could expect a "Sorry we are busy, be with you in a mo!" But we were grunted at, waited, and then walked out. The cafe\takeaway wasn't busy. No excuses. We found a nice pleasant chippy about... More

called in on the way through dawlish at 12.30 lunch time, after waiting for an attendant to come, i asked for 1 battered sausage and 2 chips to takeaway, he said it would be 5 to 6 minutes with a tone in his voice as he just couldn't be bothered, i settled for just chips which i didn't finish they... An excellent, decent, fish and chip shop, in Dawlish...turn right as you come in from Starcross end....sells pie and not so small chips at £3.20. Bailey's serves rubbish at £3.75...inedible chips and chewy pie. Go to the other place...past the Elizabethan house, next to a pub.

DIRTY, we will never return and we do not recommend this establishment. It was awful and disgusting, with tiles hanging off the wall, toilet roll on the floor and generally filthy dirty.

As this place is on the sea front and looks like a fish and chip shop we thought we were in for traditional sea front fish and chips.. WRONG. The fish wasn't fresh and wasn't cooked well, the chips are out of a bag and frozen so taste like something you would get from a burger van at a festival.... More

We both had burgers - they were very dry and uninteresting. Had to slather ketchup and mayo all over them to make them edible. We had to search for cutlery, napkins and sauces. This was put-up-with-able, but the LAVATORY oh dear oh - the smell actually made me retch!! !couldn't wait to get out. No excuse for smelly loos.

Cold, Expensive seemed like re-heated fish and bitty chips. Not the sort of place I'll be going back to.

We had lunch here today, only a tuna jacket potato and an all day breakfast but it was lovely. Nice to actually get some butter on the jacket unlike a lot of places and the breakfast was all well cooked and not an anaemic looking sausage or piece of bacon to be seen! Thoroughly enjoyed and will definately return.

We got some ice cream here for the kids, we did not eat here. The ice cream machine did not seem to work properly and the ice cream seemed almost warm? Really strange. Excellent location but looking inside was not impressed by staff handling food with no gloves etc, place looked tired and a bit grubby. Staff were friendly and... More
