Two Bridges Hotel - A grand old Hotel and Bar in the middle of Dartmoor.

A large car park and plenty of walks in various directions. We followed the ‘West Dart River’ north via Higher White Tor. After a three hour hike we returned to the hotel wet and very muddy. We were welcomed into the hotel by the lovely staff. With leather sofas and roaring fires, the large rooms... read more

We booked in for a party of 10 and there was confusion as the days had been mixed up. They were very accommodating and moved us to a large table in the restaurant. The service was very good, polite, smiles on their faces and very professional. The food was excellent. I had Ham, Egg and Chips. Poached Eggs, a ball... More

We have visited the hotel several times and always enjoyed it. It has got the good Old England type of atmosphere, luxurious and comfortable furnishing. You can choose to sit outside or inside with plenty of space not feeling crowded. It's located in the lovely countryside of Dartmoor, surrounded by green hills and with a view of small river, just... Two Bridges Hotel is what I would call posh. It has a genteel feel to it. We thought it was going to be somewhat pricey to go for lunch. It probably is in the Tor restaurant but they do a good selection of lunch food to eat in the lounge/bar area. Service is top notch and it is very comfortable... More

I notified the hotel reception in advance that I was vegetarian when booking a table for an evening meal and was impressed to see that there was both a vegetarian and vegan menu. The food was good but I was however surprised that these were priced at the same as the carnivore/ fish menu. In essence I paid £27.95 for... More

Traditional yet sophisticated. Went here twice for dinner and both times it was pretty good. First time I had the steak and second time the pork. Both was really nice, my only opinion would be is that they should ASK how you want your steak. But other than that, an tasteful experience. Staff was really helpful and friendly.

Met up with family for a lunch eaten outside in the sun. We all enjoyed our lunch particularly the Ploughman's lunch which was exceptional. Beer was good. Toilets were very clean. We'll visit again. Beautiful setting on a sunny day,

Unplanned day out from Cornwall and ended up at this little gem on Dartmoor. Mum & I out walking and exploring with our dogs and decided to head to the Two Bridges. We were made to feel very welcome with our two Rough Collies and were given the chance to choose a table to suit us. We picked a comfortable... More

My son and daughter-in-law brought me here for a cream tea on Mothers Day and the service, atmosphere and food were so exceptional that I booked, there and then, for a meal for 21 family and friends to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. The attention to detail shown by every member of staff I spoke to was exceptional. Nothing was... More
