My friend came down on holiday and wanted to go out for a meal and I knew exactly where to go, the plume. I had hunters chicken and he had lasagne and it was bloody lovely. The portions were just the right size and reasonably priced.

I visited the Plume of Feathers with a group of friends and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. A good selection of beers and a good menu. The food was well prepared and the staff friendly. While busy we were able to get a table both evenings although it might be a good idea to book.

The Plume of Feathers is an honest high moorland pub. It feels quite 'local' but not unfriendly to visitors. It is a funny sort of design presumably made up of a series of cottages originally. It means that you sit in a series of small rooms with a mixture of designs, set ups & furniture. We sat in a middle... More

Visited Friday 12th September. This is a great looking old fashioned pub with atmosphere, ales and a dartboard! The food is a particularly high standard at the moment - the evening meals are very decent portions. I had two evening meals and a breakfast there, as part of a group, and enjoyed all my food: burger, fried breakfast, ham egg... More

This pub has good food and reasonable prices, but keep in mind that it is busy as there is a campsite attached to it. I tend not to expect too much these days. As long as the staff are polite and helpful and the food is cooked and tasty, then I’m quite happy. The staff were friendly and helpful and... More

Great ales and really generous meal portions. Perfect after a days walking. They are not cheap but good atmosphere and certainly busy. They even open early for a full English breakfast!

We stayed here for 2 nights in their dog friendly room, which was large clean and comfortable, every member of staff was friendly and helpfull, the food portions are generous as you'd hope after a good days hiking on the moor, they have a large menu of what i would call pub classics, I loved the range of local ales... We visited here for a meal whilst visiting family. It is a lovely olde worlde pub on the inside, couldn't see much outside as it was foggy. The food was excellent and you get what you pay for, fresh local produce cooked and served well. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We would go again.

I found the place to be quite relaxed, overall ok experience although I not the most helpful or friendly staff, the food was typical pub grub nothing wrong with it but nothing to rave about. Campsites in a good location and the shower was warm which is always a good thing!
