The name Warren relates to the surrounding rabbit warrens which were extensive in the area, so I ordered their Warrener’s pie, a good, old-fashioned way to enjoy rabbit; it was moist and tasty, with good pastry and washed down with a lovely pint of local Otter ale. Great location too, with stunning views of the surrounding moors.

character filled pub that has had a fire in its hearth everyday since 1845. Provides good home prepared food for the passing walkers and travellers.Had 3 real ales on when I visited,I had a pint of Butcombe which was in great condition.

A pub on Dartmoor that is rare enough as there aren't many. Two log fires. A bit of historic grime. A mix of people a few locals and a lot of tourists. Excellent beer. simple but good food. Fantastic flapjacks and pork scratchings. A view. Plenty to see especially when the tourists turn up. Go in the winter and a... More

We came across this pub while out for a drive on Dartmoor. We drove along the B3212 and there was nothing but moorland dotted with sheep and ponies. Suddenly, in the distance a white building appeared on the horizon. As we approached it we could see cars parked on both sides of the road. Upon discovering it was an inn,... More

The pub has an excellent reputation and it is easy to see why. Stunning location on Dartmoor firstly. Venture inside and find a warm, friendly welcome, good selection of regional beers and excellent menu. Veggies are very well catered for too which is appreciated. Large portions for all and super quick service.

Loved the Warren House Inn, the rabbit pie was delicious and the service was warm and friendly. Fantastic location, a little haven against the moors.

Dartmoor seems to be a somewhat tough place to find food if you are a casual passer-through rather than a dedicated hiker/survivalist with loads of local knowledge. Our traditional pub lunch was even better than anticipated, served promptly and with outdoor seating with magnificent views. Recommended.

Really nice warm pub environment with the 100+ year old fire. Pie and veg and chips are all yum in the typical pub fare way. Nice too that they have the ability to take cards even though it's very rural. The views are fantastic.. Can't wait to go back in the summer!
