A great place to drink and eat. In the middle of Dartmoor this Inn is friendly and does just what you want; providing food and drink to the weary traveller. I stopped in the middle of a walk and it was just what I required.

Great little pub with masses of character and friendly accommodating staff, no trouble at all to meet the needs for my mothers gluten free diet. Thank you very much. Hope to call again. Mrs Hogan

WHI is a lonely establishment on the top road over Dartmoor. Of geographical & historic interest - even has a book published. Full of pics, maps, photos. Welcoming chatty but efficient staff Wide menus at decent value, ditto beers. "I am told" that wild camping is quite common on the hillside up the road.

Lovely views over Dartmoor. We had a couple of drinks and dinner. The portions were huge and the food was very tasty. I had spinach and ricotta cannelloni in a tomato sauce with garlic bread and salad. It was so big I couldn't finish! The garlic bread in particular was delicious, full of flavour. A fair amount of choice for... More

Called here for a quick drink after a long hard walk across the moors. It is a basic but welcoming pub which oozes character. It was impressive to see that they were serving food throughout the afternoon. Iconic location.

This is the most unfriendly, inhospitable pub I have ever had the misfortune of entering. The location is fantastic with unspoilt views and plenty of passing trade but unfortunately The landlord is rude and obnoxious, not only to his clientele but also his staff. There was only one poor girl behind the bar during the lunchtime rush and she was... More

In the middle of Dartmoor, with very little around it, you come across this quaint pub. I’ve been here a few times, in different weathers. In winter there is always a flaming fire to warm you through but, this time, the weather was very warm. Sitting outside with one of their local ales, viewing the Moors, was perfect. I cannot... More

I stopped here after a walk in the moors and was not disappointed. Good selection of ales and they have some of the best local scrumpy I've ever had. The rabbit pie was quite good too. Definitely worth a stop for a pint after a day in the moors.

Just had lunch at the Warren House Inn & we were lucky enough with the weather to be able to sit outside. The views of the moors were outstanding. The staff & owners made us very welcome. The food ample & tasty.
