Wonderful pub on the moor

This pub is in a unique place on the middle of the moor. It's always a pleasure to visit here. there is plenty of parking and plenty of room inside. There is some outside seating with amazing views. The staff are very friendly and obliging. The pub is clean and glasses and cutlery all shiny... read more

This well known and popular pub right in the middle of the main road across Dartmoor is well worth a visit - especially in the evenings after 6pm when the full food menu is available. Some of the nicest steaks I have ever had, locally produced of course, and a daily range of specials and pub classics. If in the... More

Went for Sunday lunch which was excellent, they also had a really nice real ale. There is plenty of seating and dogs are allowed. However be warned even though it is a few miles from anywhere it fills up very quickly. There is seating right outside by the road and also some tables across the road on the moor over... More

We have visited several times in the past because it is a great location and nice to sit outside and enjoy the views. The pub used to be very popular for lunches. We visited this time for lunch on a beautiful day and was surprised to find it empty until we paid for the drinks. A pint of larger with... More

Dartmoor is one of our not-to-miss places and the Warren Inn is part of that. The only Inn within the Moor limits, this place sells Otter Cider - real scrumpie - stronger than ale. The staff are really friendly. The soups are always great. There are vegetarian options and a range of hearty fare - just what you need after... More

We've popped in for a quick drink but unfortunately we were in a rush so we didn't stop for lunch. The inn was really nice, in the middle of the dartmoor and the landlord was a really nice guy, we stopped there for longer than we were supposed to, really intrigued by the stories the landlord was telling us. Will... More

Let me start by saying that I do not write bad reviews but try and make constructive criticism. We visit Dartmoor on about 8 to 10 times a year and try to visit as many local pubs a spossible whilst out on walks on the moor. We recently called in at the Warren House just for drink after a longish... More

This remote pub is in a ravishing location high on Dartmoor. We diverted for it on a journey to Cornwall, but rather wished we hadn't. While the inn has a wide range of tempting ales, an atmospheric interior and amazing views, the menu is well and truly stuck in the 1970s. If you don't mind overpriced 'freezer to frier' food,...
