Back in the day my parents owned a cafe, so I speak with some experience when I say the fish and chips here rocks!! They are always busy and very friendly, what more do you need.:)

Food was completely tasteless, we had to add our own salt to make it slightly interesting and it was staffed by the two most miserable people on earth. The sweet and sour sauce had the consistency of water but didn't taste as good.

I have been to Wong's twice hoping my first visit was just badly timed, sadly Wong's is just... bad. The food is very obviously reheated. Both Chinese and English options are stodgy and taste average at best.

In relation to the other take-aways in Okehampton, it would be somewhere in the middle. Kempley Road fish and chips are known for being the best in town, however Wongs does better chinese, and chips, than the one in New Road, so if you want chinese in Oke, go to Wongs. The service is friendly, and the food's pretty good.... More

Their food is discusting and tastes as if it has been reheated on numerous occasions. The Chinese woman who serves the food wear the most discusting filthy overall I have ever seen. Thought I would give it a second chance thinking it was an off day and second time was just as bad. I RECOMEND NO ONE EVER USES IT

Had cod and chips and chicken and chips. Nice piece of fish. Decent thickness. Batter very oily. Chicken dry and tasteless. Chips very pale (almost ubdercooked) and soggy. Would not recommend.

Food was reasonably well cooked but excessively greasy batter on fish made it indigestible.

Average chips with an excellent spring role and good quality special chew mein. The staff were friendly and the food was cooked quickly. The price was reasonable and I would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a decent chinese.

Hunted for a meal in Okehampton on Sat night 17th Sept 2011 and after giving up called hear as we left the lady was very friendly but the chips and fish tasted as if they had been cooked a lot earlier, but was a welcome meal after running round what Okehampton didn't have on offer!!
