Nice place to have a cup of tea

Walking from Scorriton to Widecombe in the moor, we made a little stop at the community shop and tea room of Holne to have a tea and write some postcards. And wait unitl the rain stops... The waiter was really friendly and the tea good, we spend quite a good time before tired of waiting for the sun... read more

We were very impressed. The friendly service, the very flexible and business like approach to organizing and running this successful village stores and tearooms, deserves my wholehearted recommendation.

Exploring Dartmoor with our 3 young children and felt the need for a cream tea. Found this great place which served the best cream tea we've had (far better than some highly rated places), scones were warm and fresh. The kids had very tasty and generous slices of cake which made them happy. We were made to feel very welcome... More

Our charity carriage drive started at Wembury Stables, Plymouth to Lynmouth we stopped for a light lunch, homemade cakes and a great steaming hot cuppa. We called in on spec as we weren't sure if the tea room would be open. We were given a fantastic welcome by the staff in the tea room and were amazed to see the... More

Came across this great little tea room who are very accommodating. We turned up 10 minutes before closing and still allowed us to sample their exquisite cakes. Best freshly baked scones I have ever had (even still warm) 😊.

It was raining cats and dogs - and we needed a serious lift of our senses. The afternoon tea here did just that! Good fruit scones, loads of clotted cream and jam ... and one of us had a great and large piece of chocolate cake. ALL were great. Friendly people and muddy boots and/or pets are welcomed too. Wifi's... More

Very pleased to see that the Holne tearooms are still open and making progress. We have frequented this spot over many years during our Dartmoor holidays when some visits have been better than others! There has been some good work done in the rear garden opening up the view and exposing the pretty leat. We had ice cold milkshakes on... More

Walked to this tiny village from our accommodation to explore and get supplies from the community shop and noticed the tea room at the back. It was truly delightful – we were given very generous helpings of homemade cake and the leaf Earl Grey tea made it extra special. A very friendly Malcolm served us and pointed out the bird... More
