Gordon and Jacqui are pleased to welcome you to their traditional 13th Century Country Inn.Since acquiring the Inn with their family back in August 2012 they have worked hard to return the hostelry back to it's traditional country inn ways.Nestled in 4 acres of pasture land and paddocks, just on the outskirts of the town of Chudleigh, the Inn has beautiful views looking out over the Devon hills. A real countryside location for a traditional country inn.Sit back and enjoy your drink, and a meal maybe, whilst the children can play on our purpose built play tower situated on the lawns. With a warm welcome for all - including your dogs, even your horse!Families and 'mucky boot' friendly...we look forward to welcoming you soon.

this was the perfect pit stop after travelling. The waitress was very friendly and the menu had a good variety for a family to enjoy. Everything was reasonably priced and quality was spot on.

We've been here quite a few times and we really love the live music on Sunday, especially if the weather is good because the garden is just beautiful. I really recommend the cheese board - some really lovely local cheeses on there - and they also do a great glass of Pimms!

We are here with friends. Two of the dishes were inadequate, one burnt and the other had a slug in it. A replacemet was given. The waitress asked if everything was OK when the plates were cleared but just replied saying, oh well. Not the first time the attitude has been way below standards. But it will be the last... More

This is a beautiful old building, that has been sympathetically restored and in a lovely rural setting and easily accessible from the main roads - came across it quite by chance a couple of Sunday's ago and dropped in for a drink. Staff seemed friendly enough, if a bit curt at times. But why in a lovely country setting do... More

Thank you for your kind comments about the pub. We have live music on every Sunday afternoon throughout the summer months from 3.30pm for a couple of hours due to popular demand, Most people by then will have finished their Sunday lunch. This has proven to be very popular and it is enjoyed by most, (obviously not all), people, many... More

I admit I'm a snob and don't go to places with adverts on a motorway or A road but the Highwaymans Haunt is the most fantastic building, it has been there so long it looks like it has grown out of the ground, truly enchanting. The garden is also lovely with views across the soft green Devon countryside. What a... More
