This was our second visit to this stunning place. Our a la carte lunch was delicious and I loved my magic, white chocolate candle! The staff are wonderful, so helpful and friendly. Thank you for making our visit so special!

Having previously done the tasting menu this time we opted for the a la carte menu. The food was superb and still consisted of seven courses, if you include the appetisers and cheese board. The service is excellent and setting beautiful. This is definitely the best restaurant I have ever eaten in!

A fantastic experience at Gidleigh Park. Visited the restaurant to celebrate my Dad's birthday and couldn't fault it. We were greeted by lovely staff and taken into the lounge for aperitifs and given the opportunity to relax and enjoy the views of the gardens before going into the dining rooms to eat. Trust me, the relaxing was needed as the... More

Our second visit here for the prix-fixe lunch did not disappoint. Appetisers in the drawing room, flicking through the latest National Geographic and attentive but not obtrusive staff make for a enjoyable start to the meal. I had the veal ravioli, followed by the superb lamb shank finished with a sublime chocolate mousse. Petit fours and coffee are a drawn... More

My wonderful dog treated us to lunch here for my 40th Birthday (he has excellent taste!) It was absolutely perfect. The staff were all so fabulous and were really attentive yet discreet. The food was just wonderful, although looked too pretty to eat! The whole experience was fabulous from start to finish and it would have been very easy to... More

We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and were lucky to have perfect weather so enjoyed a pre lunch champagne on the terrace. Everything is done with style without being too snobbish. We were treated well and enjoyed the lunch menu which was a delight. One couple flew in by helicopter for afternoon tea which is probably easier than negotiating all... More

You arrive down a long, winding and very narrow lane to a beautiful mock Tudor mansion to be greeted by polite and charming staff. Our room was large and dog friendly with great views over the lovely gardens. However the icing on the cake was dinner! Quite simply perfection. It was great to meet chef Michael Caines too.Thank you Gidleigh... More
