Description: With beautiful views of Dartmoor National Park, 22 Mill Street is a place to relax and unwind. Beautifully appointed with dark wood floors, bright contemporary artworks and feature fireplace the restaurant has a modern classic look which wouldn’t look out of place in a big city restaurant. Although the views are to die for that doesn’t mean you won’t notice the food. The beautifully presented food is clearly put together with great attention to detail using the very best ingredients on offer. For example, your pan roasted to perfection venison loin might be accompanied by truffled cauliflower while a saffron jus brings out the flavours of a beautiful end of lamb.

We came here on a Travel Zoo deal with a 50% voucher. it was still over priced for what we were served. The place was very cold and the service was hit and miss. The male waiter was excellent but the female did not really know what was going on. We left the bread because it was stale and the... More

We recently had the five course tasting menu for dinner. The restaurant is quite small with a lounge area with lovely wood burner to have pre-dinner drinks. Overall decoration is very tired and really could do with a lick of paint. The menu looked very good but the wine list is very limited and changes "as the menu evolves". Having... More

This is the second time my husband and I have eaten here. The first meal we had a few months ago was a seven course taster menu and was one of the best meals I have had. Attention to detail, supremely presented and a symphony of tastes and textures not to missed. The deconstructed cheesecake was to die for. Tonight's... More

We bought a travelzoo voucher for the tasting menu, which is our first experience of this type of dining. We weren't quite sure what to expect but were very pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is small, cosy and decorated to a high standard. We were welcomed warmly and professionally. The food was extremely tasty and immaculately presented. The taster menu is... More

My party consisted of 6, we found the very small restaurant booked out event though we booked several weeks in advance, the staff were so pushed it showed, bread dumped on the table, delays in-between courses, and then some of the courses so salty they were inedible, The tasting menu also consisted of two puddings???? Not sure fine dining, not... More

We recently stayed at this hotel and ate dinner here on our first night. My boyfriend and I each enjoyed our courses off the al a carte menu in addition to a lovely bottle of wine. All the courses were tasty, using seasonal & regional produce and were of a generous size. Service was also polite and attentive. I had... More

The front of house staff superb Used the travel zoo voucher for the 5 course taster menu. The food was tasty but I now it is called a taster menu, but the amount of food was minimal. One course had one and a half spear s of Asparagus , why for goodness not two. Was still hungry on return home.... More

We dined at 22 Mill Street via a travel zoo 5 taster menu voucher for our Wedding Anniversary, my husband knows how to treat a girl! I was a little worried with a few recent negative commenst but was not disappointed at all. The dining area was lovely, intimate and relaxing. Well, I booked here following some previous reviews, then became concerned about the last 2 reviews. However, I cannot really fault any of our experiences here. The young man running the restaurant and B and B was pleasant, professional and helpful. He showed us to ur quircky room....do not stay here if you want posh/plush and hotel standards as it... More

Agree generally with last review. Couldn't fault the welcome or table service but the food was very mediocre indeed. Has the chef changed recently? We even had to return our lamb because it was uncooked. What sort of chef cannot distinguish between pink and raw? We too were on a Travelzoo voucher but for the £35 per head there are... More
