A lovely find right in the centre of Chagford. Some really interesting choices on the menu. We both had variations of the savoury pancakes: blue cheese and mushrooms was delicious but very rich. The salmon, asparagus and dill was delicious. The lady serving was lovely, very gracious and kind. Her welcome made the experience.

Very good food, a little quiet at first until other diners joined. Take your own wine, no corkage...friendly, attentive service.

We read on Trip Advisor how good this place was and it didn't disappoint. Lovely Sunday roast and really good value. Managed to go on their last Sunday before they cut down their hours for winter.

The food and friendliness are outstanding, so is the value, and you bring your own drinks with no corkage. This is a restaurant that is number one with the locals - say no more!

Superb Sunday lunch. Visited because of previous reviews and it more than met our expectations. Very attentive. Delicious food. Could not eat dessert as too full.

This was the best food we have eaten in a restaurant for a very long time. The lamb was so tender with no fat or skin, just perfect meat, with a gravy like my mother used to make that actually tasted of lamb, and the Yorkshire pudding was beautifully homemade. My daughter had the stuffed baked trout which was wonderful,... More

Excellent food, reasonably priced (try the salmon!) Friendly staff. Bring your own alcohol. Best meal we had in Chagford.

We discovered this gem on the last day of our holiday! A very different menu with plenty of vegetarian options. The food was home cooked and delicious and the service was great. A little bit like we were eating in someone's house, but that added to the ambience.
