The atmosphere was very warm and staff were friendly. Food was lovely, if a little on the pricey side. They have plenty of space, including a nice courtyard which has been enclosed, to make a lovely, bright dining area.

I have eaten here many times. It is my fathers favourite eatery. but we went last Saturday at lunchtime to celebrate his birthday and what a disappointment, they had changed the menu. It used to be that at lunchtime, you would be offered the a la carte menu plus the lunch specials. Now however, you are offered a very limited... More

We last ate here in April and decided not to return. However, my mum was staying in the hotel for a couple of nights and we ate there again for lunch. I had the fish & chips and again was disappointed. The chips were good, but heavily salted (why can't they be left unsalted - people are quite capable of... More

Was given a voucher for a stay at The Three Crowns for our silver wedding anniversary by my parents. Had a lovely ensuite room for the night which was quiet and very clean. Met with family for a lovely meal in the dining room and drinks beside the fire. Breakfast was as you would expect with self service buffet bar... More

We walked into the village and found this lovely pub with a roaring fire and sat right by the fire in comfy chairs. It was drizzling outside and was great to find this haven. I had scones and tea, my husband had a sandwich and a pint both were really tasty. We were served by a Pleasant bar person.

Starters we had sea food platter for two: salmon prawns and crab with two sorts of bread. Very fresh and tasty. Scallops would have been nice which one guest had on their own and declared excellent. A selection of breads was also highly enjoyed. Mains: belly of pork good, linguini also sirloin steak good flavour but a little chewy. Too... More

The food was good maybe a change in ,menu a couple of times a week would have been good, as we ate for the three nights. Service was good, but slow, but we were not in a rush.

A group of us had dinner. Excellent service, nice decor. Menu good choices. Most of our food was good, although a couple of the steaks weren't perfect but to be fair we didn't take issue. Waitress was lovely and smiley. Negative point is the use of boards, personally I hate them. So our starter and main were served this way.... More

We had an early (6pm) dinner in the back room, under the glass ceiling. I had a wonderful fish and chips; my husband, a burger. Both were very generous portions and the service was good.
