Good food and atmosphere

Wonderful fish and chips - very well priced and tasty. Nice courtyard to sit out and enjoy the last of the spring sunshine.

We visited here for dinner whilst staying in Chagford for relaxing break. It was so good we went there twice in a week! The food is fantastic - lots of choice, the menu changes every few days - really good gastropod grub! The steak in particular and creme brulee were the best I've had in a long time. But for... More

We only stayed here for one night, but arranged to meet friends there for lunch, along with their 12 month old twins! Not only did the staff (Georgie and Lucy) warm the babies food for us, they brought out warm milk for them, with no hesitation, and I am reliably informed that the baby-changing room is 'state-of-the-art'. Added to that,... More

If you do you might get the chance to see a child projectile vomit! Apart from that the service was great and the snack we had more than did the trick!

A lovely place, with relatively simple but wholesome food- and a pleasant atmosphere too! Service was friendly and there was a pleasant outdoor area too.

The service and the food was excellent. Really good choice of food and very reasonable prices. This restaurant is always very busy, but they have a lot of staff working to ensure all your needs are catered for. We enjoyed it so much we went back twice in a week. Chagford village has quite a few restaurants in the village,... More

Popped in here for a drink and some lunch, after doing a 5 mile walk around Chagford. Just had a sandwich, a pint and a cream tea. Very nice and reasonably priced.

Three of us had Sunday lunch here, the beef was very good. Unfortunately the veg was way over cooked and portions small. When asked by staff if everything was ok, I explained no actually it wasn't. The reply was sorry it wasn't up to scratch. Bill paid in full!!.
