Lovely Inn with rooms with a view and good restaurant.

Good quality and value for money, restaurant was very busy. Had the burger which was fantastic and the service was attentive.

Lovely setting, clean rooms, decent food and friendly staff. There were one or two things which spoiled the stay: the water went off in the middle of evening meal. No fault of the hotel, but it meant no hand washing or toilet flushing available in restaurant toilets and poor communication about the situation from staff meant an unpleasant trip to... More

Over cooked steaks, chewy pork medallions, slow service. All of this was forgivable, after dining before and having satisfactory meals, we were prepared to give the venue the benefit of doubt, but we will never frequent this pub again after the owner who defended the indefensible argued that the food was acceptable and suggested that our expectations were too high,... Second year running for family birthdays As usual we were well looked after, the food is varied and good, the location is lovely with a terrace alongside (above) the river. We think we saw a Kingfisher too!

Awful, just because they had a party in they refused to serve us food as they said they were too busy.

Visited with friends during a quiet mid-week lunch time, the staff team were helpful & friendly, however the food served to us was sadly lacking & decidedly average. We were served over cooked lasagne, burnt around the edges, together with scorched garlic bread, over cooked chips & generally small portions for the whole party, in our opinion the 'Abbey Inn'... A warm welcome by the staff and an excellent menu. Quickly served with piping hot food. Local sourced food at reasonable prices. Lovely location on the doorstep of the Abbey Will defiantly return when next on the moors.

This is a nice little pub with a great view of the river. The food, however, is over priced and basic. We had fish and chips which were just about passable, but not great. The restaurant part of the pub always lacks atmosphere.
