Awful, just because they had a party in they refused to serve us food as they said they were too busy.

Visited with friends during a quiet mid-week lunch time, the staff team were helpful & friendly, however the food served to us was sadly lacking & decidedly average. We were served over cooked lasagne, burnt around the edges, together with scorched garlic bread, over cooked chips & generally small portions for the whole party, in our opinion the 'Abbey Inn'... A warm welcome by the staff and an excellent menu. Quickly served with piping hot food. Local sourced food at reasonable prices. Lovely location on the doorstep of the Abbey Will defiantly return when next on the moors.

This is a nice little pub with a great view of the river. The food, however, is over priced and basic. We had fish and chips which were just about passable, but not great. The restaurant part of the pub always lacks atmosphere.

My brother found this Inn & so we decided to go and give it a try. Gorgeous 18th century building with a proper English feel inside. Sat beside the river Dart with an outdoor seating area. The food is fresh, delicious & generous portions. Young waitresses were very friendly & helpful. If you fancy a bite to eat after visiting... More

Lovely setting and welcoming staff. The beer was good. We were put off immediately by a greasy spoon type smell. Unfortunately there is not that much to choose from that wasn't fried. We went for sausages and mash. The Yorkshire pud was 'Aunt Bessie' and the sausages tasted cheap and not meaty. The peas were fine if you like frozen... More

Average food (but with sizeable portions & good value) is made up for by river views and really good beer. Decor could do with a refresh.
