If only the weather had been nicer, we could have sat outside and watched the river. The beer was good and the girl behind the bar very pleasant. The food was nothing special, but perfectly acceptable.

Superb buffet, exactly as we'd ordered with special requests catered for. Lovely friendly staff from the first email through to leaving today. Lovely location nice inside and out by the river. Thanks Celia.

Popped here whilst staying at the nearby Dartbridge Inn. The real ale pints were £3.30 and were served well, if not the cheapest. The service was friendly and atmosphere good.

Four of us arrived after a long day out in the fresh air. We enjoyed an excellent meal, with good sized helpings and nicely presented food. The service was first class too. It can be found on the road leading to Buckfast Abbey and is a really lovely location next to river. We all really enjoyed the evening, it is... More

the food is good with the biggest portions but the service is a bit slow and the waitresses just dissapeared and we had to find the owner to settle up

The best food I have had in a pub for years! Quiet riverside location, great food and service. Well worth a visit. Close to Buckfast Abbey.

Pity there is no 'Nil Point'. Arrived, having reserved a table in the restaurant with the expectation of a great evening. The leaseholder must have changed since my last visit. Staff were surly and unwelcoming. We bought our drinks at the bar and were led into the restaurant. The table we were expected to eat from was rickety and the... More

Beautiful setting next to river, with outdoor seating overlooking. Friendly welcome and locals, excellent beer from St Austell Brewery. And now that burger...called The Ultimate it was as good as a burger gets. Quality steak mince with cheese and bacon, fresh salad, homemade onion rings. The BBQ sauce was bit overpowering, but that's just my view. . The menu was... More

We were camping in the local area and had walked passed this pub whilst walking up to the Abbey and thought it looked very inviting. We called in for a drink on our way back to camp. After looking at the menu we decided to order some food. The service was quick and the food was lovely. Good value for... More
