I will keep this brief... - £7.20- Authentic Crusty Devon Pie and Salad with Devon Chutney. What arrived was a very small, shrivelled, stale pie with soft stale pastry. Salad had no dressing and was simple a pile of small green leaves and the chutney was clearly from a Jar. - £7 - Quiche. Pastry not cooked- soggy and unpleasant.... More

A real 'wow' when I entered, so very different to other T shops, with good service by friendly staff . Comfortable elegant surroundings, loved the use of vintage china, the antiques were an added interest without being 'over the top'. Unfortunately I didn't have time to indulge in the lovely home made cakes, looking forward to my next visit in... More

Found Tea at Taylors by chance and we were so lucky. On entering the tea rooms you go into a complete sense of tranquillity and relaxation. The service was excellent and with a good choice of teas and snacks we were in heaven. The party had several different dishes and every one enjoyed them. We guessed that they were all... More

Great, quiet atmosphere in elegant surroundings. Small menu but all very good and nicely presented. I have many friends who travel many miles just to go there.

For several years, we, and our friends, have thoroughly enjoyed regular good food & perfect service, until that is, the last six months or so. We once used to have a wonderful efficient, friendly service from a delightful & very hard working waitress. No matter how busy it was, she was always welcoming and valued our custom. Sadly Taylors is... More

We have been here before and had a wonderful experience and wanted to take our eldest daughter here on return from university. Whilst the cakes and tea are as wonderful as ever i was meet with a waitress who was more adept to list rules about where our family of 5 could sit. Only tables of 2 or 3 or... More

I walked past this as I was staying in Ashburton and noticed the nice cake display in the window. I was told when entering that the place was full- but I came back 15 mins later and was seated. I sort of insisted sitting at the table near the front....the waitresses didn't mind at all. I had a lovely scone,... More

This is the place to go for wonderful home-made cakes and scones. The tea and coffee are both served in vintage china, the tables have white linen cloths and the furnishings are antique and beautiful. A real treat at any time of year. I visit whenever I want to go out for tea........there is nowhere better.

Our family went to Ashburton for the afternoon to see the lovely stannery town. Whilst there we noticed a lovely looking place called Tea At Taylors. It was not busy at 3pm on sat afternoon. My wife asked from the doorway "Were we able to come in for tea and cake?" and the reply from the young assistant was "... More
