Lunch in January

We called in here for lunch. We had soup and a sandwich. Both were delicious and the service was friendly and prompt. The only warning is that they don't take credit cards or cheques. I don't know if this was a one off, but it can be a nuisance if you don't have much cash

Went in today at 11 am for a coffee Plenty of tables empty. No sign of waitress so after a few minutes we sat ourselves and read the menu. Waitress appeared and totally ignored us while talking to customers already served. After 7 or 8 minutes, we left....found the Studio not far away and had a fantastic experience!

Just had delicious mulled wine delivered outside to our stall by one of the lovely staff what an exceptionally kind thing to do. Will definitely return to sample their wonderful looking cakes.

We arrived in Ashburton on a wet and windy day and the first place we visited was this tea room. We had coffee and cake and it was lovely. Great coffee and amazing cakes.

My Mum and I visit on a regular basis and always enjoy ourselves. They cater for gluten free diet very well and their cups of tea and sandwiches are beautifully presented! Lovely....see you again soon.

We stopped in Ashburton and found this tea room, what a delight. We opted for the cream tea which was delicious. The scone was enormous, very light and warm, with plenty of jam and cream. I had an enormous pot of tea and that was accompanied by a large pot of hot water! We shall be back.

My wife & I stopped here for lunch on a sunny autumn afternoon despite the fact that the exterior gave the impression that they only served tea. My wife had a bowl of piping hot fresh soup, served with a fresh cheese scone, and I had crab sandwiches, followed by a huge slice of coffee & walnut sponge. All washed... More

Wonderful smiley staff, beautiful food, everything you could ask for in a relaxing afternoon tea. Egg mayo sandwiches, brownies and hot chocolate are my favourites.
