Charming treat

This is such a pretty tearoom with tables set with porcelain teacups and candles. The cakes were absolutely gorgeous, I had the lemon drizzle which was excellent. It feels rather like having tea in someone's home. Beautiful pale blue walls, antique furniture, pretty porcelain, rugs and a cute little courtyard garden. The service was great. Just lovely.

Great service and food. A real treat whilst on holiday. Scones were lovely and their were lashings of tea. Good value for money.

Tea, coffee and sandwiches, all delicious; tea in a pot (no tea bags!) and a cafetiere of fresh coffee with cream. Delicious freshly made sandwiches enjoyed in pleasant surroundings with tables beautifully laid out and no crowding. I intend to revisit Not suitable for disabled though and only one loo which is outside

Stopped in at this eatery for lunch, but never again. We sat down and waited to be given a menu. No sooner than we had been given the menu the waitress was over to take our order, at this point she had already taken the order of others who had arrived after us and did not have to wait for... More

My favourite place to stop for tea and cake. Proper china tea cups, loose leaf tea, and homemade cakes. Try the Almond Cream Sponge - it's fab!

A real tea shop. The service was very good and the staff pleasant.I had the cheese scone which was huge and very tasty. This came with two types of cream cheese which I thought was a very good idea. The tea was hot and delicious, the pot had been warmed which makes such a difference. Sitting near the window I had... More

My wife went in to reserve a table as we had visitors coming to the town and we wanted the security of knowing we could get a table when they came. We like to share our business around the various eating establishments in the town. We live in Ashburton and have used this "hostelry" (hostilitry ?) before. We were told they... More
