We dined here as guests of the hotel. The cooked breakfasts were good. Service friendly if a little officious (the first morning the waiter said we had to sit at a particular table as we were the last guests down - said whilst looking at his watch - it was 9.35 and breakfast is 8 'til 10 on Saturdays). The... More

We enjoyed dinner again tonight at The Quayside Hotel Restaurant. Plenty to choose from starters wise and likewise the desserts include a specials item too. The main course of Fillets of Sea Bass on a zingy orange salad with pickled fennel was a delight and we opted for some potato and fennel gratin as a side dish. This was a... More

The restaurant is lovely but we were bemused by the reserved window tables which remained empty...... As for the food indifferent starters were followed by gorgeous lamb which sadly was accompanied by rancid gratin potatoes. Our complaint was not handled well and the much delayed replacement food arrived long after our companion had finished his meal and actually was a... More

Outstanding service throughout. Very warm and enthusiastic welcome, was made to feel very special. My husband had booked the bay window for my birthday, which was perfect. The hotel had decorated the table with balloons and trimmings. The food was absolutely delicious and a very high standard. The chef had made be a birthday cake, which was lovely and we... More

Ate here on Thursday evening, as part of my partner's birthday celebrations and it was without doubt one of the best meals I've had. To start, duck terrine, squid and baked croque, mains -monkfish with garlic butter and john dory with salsa Verde, to finish creme brulee...fantastic! Plus the staff took delivery of my partner's cake and bought it to... More

After having a terrible time trying to find somewhere decent to have lunch around the harbour (were disgusted by the spray and mackerel and the crown and anchor!) we found the wetherspoons up into the town which was very nice. I personally think you can't go wrong with wetherspoons. However the place is let down by it's location. Very tucked... More
