Happy to return

We ate here while staying in Brixham and enjoyed the set meal despite not ordering the best options. Salt and pepper squid was very disappointing and unlike anything else under the same name but duck terrine, monkfish curry and pork schnitzel were all good as was the red wine (Arg Malbec). Cheese... read more

It's worth eating in the restaurant. The fish was particularly good and they made very nice poached eggs for breakfast!

For an evening meal an excellent interesting menu in pleasant surroundings and attentive service. The travelzoo deal pretty much covered all the menu options and wine was very reasonable. Three window tables with lovely view of the quay. One moan - my wife was assured the fish soup didn't contain cream and it did. Breakfast also very acceptable.

We had a most pleasant evening at The Quayside Hotel restaurant the other night. This restaurant which has a current AA rosette rating is a gem amongst Brixham's eateries and our meals lived up to that award. The staff and service are always excellent and combined with the quality of the food make for a great night out. Just to... More

My uncle made a late booking for a pre-Christmas meal on a Wednesday evening in early December. This was a first visit to this restaurant for me and to be honest, I didn't have any particular expectations. From the time we walked through the door, we were made very welcome. We were shown through to the bar area and served... More

This is certainly our favourite hotel in Brixham and with such a great restaurant too. Had another excellent dinner tonight with a marvellous Prawn Cocktail for starters. Main courses of Black Bream and the meat special of Confit of Duck Leg were really delicious. Desserts of homemade ice cream including a Christmas Pudding variety were lovely. We had a tasty... We had a late meal here and the Mackerel I had was the best I had tasted for a long time. Service was excellent as was the ale - the only (very picky) downside being that a greater selection of ales would have been welcome. Recommended.
