Eating out

Wow and wow again. If you visit Brixham then I think you need to have a fish based meal rather than your usual fare, and boy, this is the place to eat. We had the most amazing starter, a fish platter containing mussels, scallops, crevettes to die for and the most beautiful home made bread. For... read more

It was our first time in this quaint fishing village restaurant but will certainly not be our last. The view from our table overlooked the harbour which added to the atmosphere and you knew you were eating a fresh catch. The fish was cooked to perfection and tasted divine. If ever there was a perfect setting for a seafood restaurant... More

The restaurant is pleasant, each table named after a ship or boat. Simone (owner) is very nice and offered to tame our coats when we arrived. The fish that the restaurant uses is purchased that morning by Simone in the local Brixham harbour.... It couldn't be fresher! The menu selection was good. The wine list complimented each dish on the menu.... More

Went on Saturday 22/Nov. Scallops to start, followed by the monfish and the sirloin - all very good. Will certainly go again.

There was a good choice of both locally caught seafood and west country meats. We shared the shellfish platter to start, mussels, crevettes and Brixham scallops - Yum! Then I had Turbot with clams and my wife had the Plaice fillet with prawns - exceptionally well cooked and delicious. The service was great and the prices are reasonable for such... More

I have lived in Brixham for 12 years. This is the first time I have eaten in Beamers. I am disgusted with myself for not having been here before. This restaurant deserves Michelien stars and Egon Roney awards. I have eaten in many places round the world. This restaurant is one of the best I have had the pleasure to... More

A group of us regularly sail from Topsham to Brixham and back overnight and Beamers is our favourite restaurant. The lady chef takes a real pride in her food and usually comes out to see her diners at the end of the evening to see that they had a great meal. Good portions and reasonably priced food and wine. A... More

A repeat visit, on a short break to Brixham. Booked ahead, and had a lovely window seat overlooking the harbour. Service good, and although we had to wait a little for our main course, this was not a problem. Not cheap, but good value for quality food.
