No frills but great seafood!

Had heard several good reviews and they were not wrong! We are local and used to eating fish but our lunchtime meal to celebrate my father's 101st birthday was excellent. We will be returning and spreading the word. Thank you!

Took our Mum there for a celebratory Lunch following a Birthday weekend. Nothing was too much trouble, the accomodated all us without any prior warning and the food and drink was excellent. Definately worth a visit

We have used the Breakwater Bistro many times when at our holiday home in Torbay. It is consistently good in all respects. It relies extensively on local produce, fish especially (being Brixham!) but also beers and even wine. It is open 365 days a year, although in the winter it only opens in the evening Friday to Sunday. It is... More

This was our first time in Brixham despite living in Devon since 1982! We strolled along the footpath from the harbour to enjoy the amazing view when we stumbled across this cosy, friendly, well organised cafe/ restaurant. Great menus with superb places to eat on several levels either inside or out. We'll be returning here more often in future whenever... More

I love this place, the location is perfect imo, the food is outstanding and the staff are friendly and hardworking. My parents live in Brixham and also love it here as a result I think many of our family members have brought here at some point, it has never disappointed.

We have eaten lunch at the Breakwater several times, and have always been pleased with the food and friendly staff. The best views are upstairs, outside weather permitting and there's the bonus that they welcome dogs.

During a recent stay with family in Brixham I visited the Breakwater for lunch on 2 occasions. On my 1st visit the bistro was very busy but the service was excellent, fast and friendly and the food was great with plenty of variety. I returned 2 days later and received even better service and would like to thank Kerry, Emma... More

Lovely place, lovely views, lovely staff. We moved to Brixham a short time ago and found the Breakwater while exploring our new home town. We are now greeted like old friends (how nice is that?) and one of the staff asks how we are getting on with renovating our house! All the food we have tried has been excellent especially... More

We had lunch on a blustery, sunny , rainy, rainbow day. Watching the weather changing across the bay was mesmerising. The service was friendly and helpful. Crab sandwiches were glorious, haddock and chips substantial and mussels perfectly cooked if a little creamy for my tastes. Devon ale and wine completed a fantastic, honest dining experience. We'll be back.
