Brilliant Night

A group of 6 of us, mature 40 ish year olds, came for my hen night in March 2015 and I loved it. The location was gorgeous overlooking the sea, seeing the waves breaking on the small beach and breathing in the sea air on the terrace, cold in March, but still brilliant. fantastic location and views, friendly and attentive staff and wonderful seafood! Now you can order a delicious paella for one, which I highly recommend. Great value for money too, I can't wait for the next visit.

Lovely evening spent last night at the Breakwater Bistro, Brixham. Have eaten here a number of times, usually after my husband has been diving. Good food, friendly staff and wonderful setting. I had the Sea Bass and it was delicious. Can't wait for our next visit.

Couple of friends staying with us wanted to go here because of location. Having been before and experiencing pre prepared meals I wasn't too keen but well, I thought maybe they've improved and maybe thery've got a chef like proper restaurants. No, they haven't. Still the same old Caterfood stuff. Wetherspoons food at restaurant. prices. Disgraceful.

Visited last sunday, as i was going to visit friends nearby and was hungry. I ordered the trio of shellfish, prawns, mussels and crab claws. I was told i would possibly have to wait for up to half an hour. This was no problem, a nice place to be on a beach with a great view and very friendly staff,... More

We dined here for my Birthday on 19th April in the evening and had a lovely meal, the Mussels for a starter were the nicest I've had for a long time and the Turbot was just divine so not sure what previous comments are about. There were six of us dining and not one of our party complained all the... More

The meaning of Bistro is a small, inexpensive restaurant, however we found this not to be entirely true in when we visited on Sunday. Yes, I agree this Bistro is somewhat cramped, however, it is far from inexpensive. I've never complained about paying over the odds if the quality is there, but unfortunately it is not. Sadly, the combi we... More

Thanks for taking the time to review us, shame it wasn't under better circumstances. The correct definition of a bistro is... "A small restaurant serving moderately priced, simple meals, in a modest setting". We don't try and fool any of our customers in to how or products are cooked, where they are sourced from, or how they are stored. You... More

Visited with two children aged 5 and 6 and three grandparents in tow. Welcomed with a smile, service was excellent and food was great too. Kids got a great view through the binoculars and colouring kept them happy too. We couldn't fault it I'd go back every holiday!

My partner and I had a wonderful evening, last night. We watched the sun go down and the mist roll across the sea whilst eating an enormous and beautiful paella. We were spoilt by the friendly staff.
