Great food in great location

Excellent food, specialising in fish, (try the paella only if you're hungry!), friendly service and superb views over Torbay. Plenty of parking close by. It is essential to book, especially for Summer evenings.

we have made many visits over the past two years . The breakfasts are lovely. Plenty of food and the honey cooked sausages are a real treat. The staff are always welcoming and can not do enough for you .good value for money and great views. I particularly like the games at the tables to entertain the children

We visit Brixham Frequently and always have at least one lunch at the Breakwater bistro. Love the crab sandwiches there but also the other seafood dishes are equally as good and the drinks menu has a varied and excellent choice. It is so lovely to sit on a sunny day and watch the antics of the children on the beach... More

We have been coming here, in the summer for a few years. However, I don't know what has happened but the experience last night was dreadful. We walked in and were told by a young man, curtly, that there were no tables upstairs but we could sit in the outside bit. We ordered drinks and food and they did come... More

Ate here last year and had a disappointing experience (microwaved pasties and seafood past its best). Decided to give it another go this year as it arguably has the best views in Brixham. We got the impression that the staff didn't really care, they were not rude or impolite, they just seemed disinterested. Eg. Once the food came, they didn't... More

Visited this bistro 4 times on holiday as we liked it so much. Friendly staff, lovely food, the best views while you dine. The food is cooked fresh to order and the portion sizes are generous. Very good value for money would definitely recommend everyone visit wether it's for a coffee, a cream tea or a meal.

All the meals we had in the Breakwater Restaurant were good. Very large portions, if anything to big. It don't make any difference if your ordering a crab sandwich with a side portion of chips or your having a steak the quality of service is all the same, excellent. The scones and Devon cream and jam, SUPERB but was difficult... More

Due to family illness, our dinner a drug became a trios- but this was no problem for the team when we phoned- and it was super! Best food of the holiday! A wide range of dishes plus specials with an emphasis on fresh fish. Fabulous! Everything was fabulous plus desserts to die for an a nice wine list. You must... More
