What a view.

We went here for a nice cold beer on a sunny day. I must say what a view, absolutely stunning. Worth it to sit up top with a nice cold drink to watch the sea.

Beautiful sunny hot day, great seats on terrace. Waitress then accidently dropped tray of drinks which smashed a bottle and glasses, the shards and fragments covered me not my friend. I'm on blood thinning medication so extreme care taken. Waitress very apologetic. After clearing up we were shown back to the table where I immediately cut myself pulling out the... More

"Confused" Young waitress accidentally drops a tray of drinks on a very busy day, to which she apologises for repeatedly and is close to tears about. You came down stairs were I sat you down and treated your minor cut to the best of my ability with are limited first aid box. Mentioning you are on warfin I agreed with... More

Overpriced, not customer focused. The trip advisor 2014 certificate proudly framed and displayed is now out of date and I think has caused major complacency. group of 6, 2 of us were 30 mins late due to the journey from London (we did notify them) so our group were moved to an outside table, buying drinks whilst waiting for us.... I have visited this Bistro a few times, besides the lovely views over the Breakwater and Brixham. I am always pleased that I take my visitors to eat here. The staff are pleasant and helpful and the food is always good local quality. They also have a selection of local ales and ciders, which they have a knowledge of; to... More

We discovered this restaurant last year following local recommendations. Initial impression... old fashioned cafe, plastic table cloths etc. But, well, we're here now so why not... So glad we did. Shellfish Trio - superb and enough to floor the biggest of appetites! So, here we are again, a year later and still delighted we made the return trip. I can... More

Not my first review of the Breakwater Bistro. During our holiday we ate dinner here three times, calling in at other times for a coffee or a drink. The food we were served was of the usual very high standard, the fish was very fresh, beautifully cooked. Service is informal and friendly, the waiting staff, Tom the Manager, and Lee... More

Lovely setting right by the sea, staff nice and friendly. Husband had the mussels on both visits which had the most delicious sauce (a side of bread was required to mop it all up!) I had the fish pie and the mushroom stroganoff both of which were lovely. The chocolate fondue is a novel pudding we had one to share,... More

Recently had my 30th birthday meal here, the food was lovely and great portions. Watching the sunset was just amazing while having a glass of wine and enjoying the wonderful views. The service was excellent! They made a great effort with presenting my cake and making sure all our needs were taken care of even when you could see how... More

We have visited this local restaurant many times and consider it to be very good value for money. Food is always well cooked and presented with good service from the staff. They are always polite, friendly and willing to please, especially Aimee who goes out of her way to make you feel welcome.
