Best fish and chips ever! No need for condiments. Apparently the portion of fish we had wasn't big enough so they brought out two more portions! Excellent service too. Will definitely return.

Have been here twice now with my partner and we both loved it. The fish and chips are absoloutely delcious, probably the best I've ever had. Traditional, tasty and not dripping in grease. Will be visiting again!

Went here for lunch as we had won some vouchers in a raffle, glad we did as the fish and chips are excellent. The chips were really good being nicely cooked through without being greasy and the fish was tasty and moist with a good crisp batter. Service was friendly if a little chaotic but I'd definitely eat here again.

When I moved into the area, several people recommended a meal at this restaurant, and now I know why. It doesn't look over impressive when seen from outside, but is spotlessly clean and the staff are polite. On closer inspection, little details appear - the stairs are supported underneath by panels in which a little fish has been cut out,... More

Amazing value for money for quality fish and chips. We have been coming here for a number of years for our take away haddock and chips, and to be honest cannot understand why people moan about the weighing of the fish. We consistently paid £12.85 for two large haddock, large chips and regular chips for many years recently this has... More

Friends of ours recommended this place, so when we stayed nearby, we had to visit. We arrived at 6:30 to be greeted by an enormous queue waiting( you can't book), but it moved quickly and is testament to the restaurants popularity. Ordering was efficient and prompt, and the food excellent. They even had a vegetarian menu. Great place, food and value.... More

We visited the restaurant on our recent family holiday, it was very popular and busy with diners in and out the whole time. The food was amazing the best fish and chips I've had in a whilst, the portions were very good and thought it good value for money. So can see why it's popular. The waitressing staff were very... We have been visiting Braunton for the past 5 years and always make a point of eating at Squires at least twice during our holiday. The food is consistently good and you cannot find a better portion of fish and chips anywhere else in the UK. That said, the service does seem to be hit and miss: We had an... More

We were recommended to try this fish and chip restaurant. The inside is modern and bright, both upstairs and down. The staff smart, friendly and efficient. Most of our party had cod and chips and mushy peas, the cod was very substantial, well cooked and moist, the chips were good too. All cooked to order and very fresh. Very pleasant... More
