We come to the ebrington quite often. The menu is quite large with something for everyone there is also a special board which always has tempting items on. On my last visit my wife and I both had venison burgers lovely juicy with plenty of onions & stilton we did nkt have room for a pud but we usually have... More

We have eaten at The Ebby several times and the food is always good and the service friendly. On this occasion we were invited to dinner by our neighbours. We always try something new each time we go as the menu doesn't change much, although there is a specials board with a varying menu. The food is cooked fresh so... More

Been several times and menus hardly change. Bar dominated by unfriendly locals that stare at you when you walk in. Food is not bad but not inspiring for the price. Almost London pub prices! No real vegetarian dishes available which is a short sighted outlook.

A little disappointed if I'm honest. Our starters were Ok but the main and pudding were a let down. The lamb shank was tough and chewy (in my opinion it had been reheated for to long) and for pudding we had treacle tart which was hard and chewy. Staff were desperate to leave to at the end of the night,... More

An unfortunate bad start to our visit, with ignorant locals not allowing you to access the bar (and giving you horrible looks about it too, have a word), There seemed to be no real structure, after finding the menu's in a pile on the side, we were not even sure if we should sit in the pub, or the restaurant.... Found this 5 yrs ago from their roadside sign whilst driving back to Ilfracombe. That was June 2010. We've been back to Ilfracombe every autumn since, and always use the Eby at least twice during our week. To date, it has never let us down, is always busy and still has the same landlord. It has a rough, smallish car... More

Second time we've visited while in lovely North Devon. Very friendly publican and locals make you feel very welcome. Sitting outside is peaceful in this village setting and the food & ales are lovely!

What more can I say? The first night out with hubby after having our baby girl and we couldnt have chosen better for a nice relaxed meal that was great quality and left us happy and a great price too! We shared a camembert as a starter, which was delicious. hubby then had a beautifully cooked steak. He doesn't like... More

Having read the reviews on here we decided to visit the Ebrington arms on the way back from Ilfracombe. We were not disappointed. We entered a traditional pub with friendly staff where nothing was too much trouble. We dined with two young children who were made to feel welcome. The locals were also really Friendly towards us all. The food... More

Excellent landlord recommended a great frothy pint of Otter ale. Chef stayed late to feed us and the food was well received by all. Friendly locals and a lovely old building.
