Comfortable stay

Room was basic and badly needs decorating, the hairdryer looks like something from the 1970's, the bed was massive and we had a balcony with sea view, the bathroom was clean and a good size, The breakfast was basic, however it was tasty and filling.

The Water's Edge restaurant is a frequent haunt of ours. Brilliant value all year round and the food is very good. Staff friendly and views are amazing! Highly recommended.

Can't recommend this restaurant enough. Great staff and service, excellent food, great menu and amazing sea views in a quiet part of the island, which is also lovely for walks. A must try for everyone

The place left me slightly frustrated. It gets some things absolutely right, like the food and the beer, but it's back to the 70s for decor, style and service. I would highly recommend the fish and chips. Huge portion of beautifully fresh cod in lovely crispy batter with yummy chips. Decor really could do with an update. The place has... More

Many, many years ago I celebrated my 21st birthday in this hotel in the latter days of Guernsey's tourist industry so the place still maintains an emotional pull. In recent years it has always been our refreshment stop at the end of a long hike where chilled beer has been the order of the day. This place offers beautiful views... More

The hotel is scored as a 2* which is why I don't think many people visit. The food was fantastic! I had the chicken kiev and it really was amazing! The portion size was good and it was very tasty. I've always enjoyed eating here and will definitely return.

I have been coming to the Imperial Hotel for Sunday lunch whenever I am on holiday in Guernsey. The hotel is situated in a great spot overlooking the sea - I usually have a walk lbefore lunch and I find that I appreciate the food more. The food is very well cooked and well presented. The staff go out of... More

I almost gave this review a 'poor' rating, but as I have eaten here before & the food has been much better previously, I'm being a bit kind (maybe). My starter was meant to be crab & avocado salad. The lettuce was starting to go brown & needed to go in the bin instead of being served to a customer.... More

We hopped off the Guernsey Buses (buses.gg) route 91 bus and went straight to the Imperial Hotel for lunch. A nice cold beer awaited us as well as an extensive menu. We had two courses and were very satisfied read full when we finished. A couple next to us had the fish and chips and they said the serve was... More
