The Imperial, both bar and restaurant has been one of my go to choices for as many years as I have had the ability to get to the west coast of the island under my own steam. We had a couple of hours one evening and decided to go down and watch the sunset from one of the window seats,... read more

A couple of friends and I decided to embark on the epic journey (in Guernsey terms) from town to the Imperial on Sunday lunchtime. A decision hard made when three hungry men are involved! We arrived at the Imperial to a warm welcome in the relatively quiet public bar. The menu consists largely of "pub grub", while also offering some... More

On the only sunny day that we experienced , we stopped at the Imperial hotel for lunch , and we was pleasantly surprised by the quality and price of our food . The lunch was served promptly , and was amongst the best lunches had by us . The fish , chips and mushy peas were excellent, and also the... More

I have written a review for the Imperial before but felt impelled to add an update. On the evening in question we arrived at 7.00 p.m. and were welcomed into the private bar attached to the restaurant where we were served drinks whilst we made our menu choices. It was late March and we were amazed to discover that the... More

A group of us went to the Imperial for lunch recently and had a pleasant surprise at the standard of the food served , it had improved vastly from about a year ago when left a lot to be desired ! We all chose 3 courses in the restaurant and had quite different from an extensive menu ,all seemed to... More

We had a 3 course lunch for £10. The food was lovely and its got to be the best value for money, in a very pleasant setting with a nice view..

The hotel is definitely worth a visit for a meal. Easy to get to on a bus. Absolutely lovely food, 3 courses for £10, hard to believe as food was lovely and so well presented :)

It was a family occasion. Eight of us, spanning three generations sat down to dinner. The adults chose from the very varied offering on the £10 three-course dinner menu. Some had Prawn Cocktail, some Breaded Brie, others Smoked Salmon. Our main course choices included Sirloin Steak, Fish and Chips, and other temptations I can't now remember. I had Sticky Toffee... We were walking around the bay and it was so cold we sought shelter in the hotel. It was just before 12 and we spotted the £10 3 course lunch deal so decided to have that. Plenty of choice and excellent for the price. I had the calamari (good), medium rare steak (excellent) and the tiramisu (OK). It was very... More

Last night 7 of us met up at The Imperial for a meal. To our surprise the table d'hote menu (with choices) was available at £10 for 3 courses!! We all enjoyed our meals very much and there was even a decent bottle of South African wine on the list for £14. The food was delicious and well presented and... More
