After a visit to Fort Grey and a stroll along the top of the vast beach we stopped here for lunch on a beautiful sunny, but windy day. Both my wife and I opted for the Seafood Club sandwich and were both impressed and delighted with the taste, presentation and amount of the food provided. We also enjoyed a pint... More

We visit Guernsey on a regular basis to visit friends and this is one of their gems for eating out! Great seafood, you won't believe the size of the Cod and Chips! Good service and friendly staff.

Try the sunday lunch. excellent value carvery. ask for a seat by the window. Alternatively for a local experience, the meat draw (+ free generous nibbles) is worth a try

I have eaten at the imperial for many years, both as an island resident and more recently a visitor. We have always received good service and good value food. Our latest visit was no exception and as there was no room to seat us in the bar we were given a table in the restaurant. I had the sea bass... More

No complaints about the Imperial - great food - nice people and the view.......we all agreed that their mussles - moules - are the best we have eaten. My sea bass was a little overcooked but still enjoyable.

Set above Rocquaine Bay the view from the bar and restaurant looks NW to Fort Grey and Lihou Island. The bar has become more of a dining room, which is a shame as I remember this as a great lounge bar where one could sit, relax and soak up the view. Today the bar is set out for casual diners... Scampi and chips but not the promised mushy peas. Not the lunch we had been hoping for. Staff kind and helpful. The decor in the bar a strange mix of careless and dated.

I have eaten here several times and can't fault their bar meals. Affordable prices and very generous portions (the fish and chips are huge!). On a sunny day, overlooking the "cup and saucer" I defy anyone to not relax with that sort of view. Always full with visitors and locals (always a good sign when locals frequent a place, as... More

This hotel is like walking into a time warp from the late 70's/early 80's, it beggars belief there are still places like this open. It's tired, dirty, smelly but has the potential to be something really good in a super location with great views across the bay and a good outside area. The reception smells from the bar and kitchen.... More

Have lived up the road from the Imp for the last 27 years and have used regularly through all different ownerships. Went last week and despite them being very busy service was very efficient and food excellent value for money. The staff work very hard under pressure and always have a smile. Would recommend to anyone for the location alone.
