This was our second visit to this restaurant, the first being to attend a 60th birthday party which was excellent but I always feel not a true indication of the ambience of visiting a place just for dinner. Visiting our family who live on Guernsey the four of us came for dinner on Saturday evening. Wow, what an enjoyable evening.... More

Everything about this meal was faultless. The food itself was fantastic and the service was excellent. The setting is beautiful and it is a fantastic place to celebrate a special occasion.

Wow - why isn't this restaurant no.1 on Tripadvisor? Ok it's expensive but I'm a great believer in you pay for what you get. Delightful seafood assiete for starters followed by Calves Liver for a main and the best ever chocolate fondant.... And as for the view !!! You'd be hard pressed to find a better view. Dress up or... The lunch menu is very good with a choice of fish and meat dishes and vegetarian. Very good value for money but the a la carte choice is also very good. Beautiful view from the restaurant and the service is second to none. The waiters etc are so attentive but not intrusive. Well worth a visit.

My husband and I had brought my Mum and Dad for a long weekend to Guernsey, so my Dad could visit the land of his birth and heritage. For our first night on the island I booked La Fregate, hoping for a great start to our mini break. And we weren't disappointed. Quite simply it was excellent. Loved the decor... More

We stayed at the hotel for a week and had breakfast everyday and dinner on three occasions. This is the only restaurant on Guernsey that gets a rating in the Good Food Guide and deserves it. The food was excellent all week and the dining room has lovely views over St. Peter's Port. All the different fish dishes we had... More

We were staying on Guernsey for 2 weeks and wanted to try numerous restaurants while there. The La Fregate was recommended as a nice, fancier dinner place. When we got there, we were strongly encouraged to first order drinks in the bar, which we often do and were happy to do so. However, we were also given menus in the... More

Several members of my family dined here for Fathers' Day Sunday lunch having eaten here on many previous occasions. As usual the service and attention from staff is impeccable in a delightful dining room. Aperitifs on the sunny terrace overlooking St Peter Port were also pleasant. All the food was beautifully presented and well cooked and there is a varied... More
