Proper pub food - lots of choice. Kids friendly. Fantastic ale - a CAMRA winner year upon year. Cosy and warm. All you need for a family meal. Only wish I could stay all night!!

Tucked away on an old heritage trail you will find a beautiful old guernsey pub selling local and exotic ales and wines. Don't be fooled that it was only Established in 2001 there's years of knowledge behind these old walls. The astute, knowledgeable staff were able to assist with recommendations of the many available ales. Fortunately I have experienced the... More

I phoned the Cornerstone to book a table for the upcoming Rugby World Cup and spoke to a very helpful gentleman who kindly made room for our booking. He was even more helpful and accommodating when I had to phone back having got the wrong evening. Would definitely recommend visiting the Cornerstone for a great beer and friendly service.

A bad experience once can be overlooked, perhaps twice can possibly be forgiven... but three time (or was it four different occasions....?) - is far beyond any degree of acceptability. I have frequented the Cornerstone for many years but since it was sold recently the service has plummeted. Not once, not twice, three times (or more) - table service was... More

Visited last week while on holiday as I had heard that it was a good place for real ale. Not disappointed as there were 3 ales on offer including one from the local White Rock brewery. Staff were very friendly and enthusiastic about the ales. A nice quiet cafe too away from the busy looking cafes by the harbour. Good... More

On previous recommendations and after a lot of searching, we found this local pub away from the tourist area. Despite being a locals pub, we were made very welcome by the very attentive staff. The food was good value and most dishes were around £10. They were presented well and very appetising.

Finally, we found the local Guernsey specialities - Bean Jar (a sort of cassoulet) and Gache Melee - all beautifully and brilliantly cooked by the funny, friendly, sarcastic but great chef. This place is a real find, wtih decent ales and great food. Best of all, it has a real atmosphere of casual, laid back and matey camaraderie, mixed with... More

Standard local pub, deceptively big though, with good range of beers and wines, and friendly staff, décor is a bit of a mix but comfortable.

We went here after reading good reviews about beer and food and weren't disappointed. Very nice local pints and tasty veggie food. A good find!
